About this House

Well built, solid, nothing fancy but affordable living. One closet converted to tornado shelter with built-up 3/4-inch plywood protection. Nice shade trees. Great starter home or for an average Joe such as I. Small room off kitchen for washer and dryer. Three doors, one front and two rear for exit/entrance ease. Dual pane windows.

Neighborhood Description

Quiet. Never see the police arriving to settle a problem. Neighbors wave at each other. I do not have kids but if I did I would feel safe if they wandered the area.
A convenience store with gas pumps is a couple blocks away. Easy access to the rest of the town via several nearby major roads. No constant traffic noise due to too close major streets. No nearby trains to disturb the peace. I think the birds that hang out here know me and chirp and cheep in a friendly way when I wander the yard.

The children can play ball and ride their bikes on my street without worrying about people running them over. The streets are posted with a speed limit sign that also warns drivers that children are playing. "

    "A safe place to live. Affordable housing for working-class folks. Close to everything Springfield has to offer. Plenty of public transportation traversing the area. A short drive to major roads leading throughout the city and surroundings. I have never heard of any flooding problems in this area and the city utilities are well-installed and maintained. I have lived in many places across the USA and this area is among the quietest and safest I have lived in."
