Admin isn’t helpful at all and doesn’t care about student or staff safety. Most of them are unable to communicate professionally. If you join later in the school year, good luck getting any help/support from them. You can ask them for support and they’ll give you nothing. Frequent fights and the students are just disrespectful, having no problem cussing you out, laying hands on you, and/or threatening you. (And admin will take months to transfer the student out if they threatened you too and try to transfer the student back into your class after they were removed because they laid hands on you).

I’m a parent of a 1st grader at Tierra Bonita Elementary, and I can no longer stay silent about the serious safety concerns at this school.My child has been physically assaulted on campus multiple times within just a few weeks—once by a group of students, and again by a much older student who should not have even been on the field during my son’s recess. In both cases, the school administration failed to take action. No communication. No follow-up. No meaningful changes to ensure it doesn’t happen again.What’s even worse is that when I went to the school in person, visibly shaken and asking to speak to the principal about the latest assault, I was dismissed and told no one was available to speak to me. I was left feeling ignored and powerless while my child was scared and in pain.This is not about minor playground disagreements. These were violent, unprovoked attacks—and the school’s response (or lack thereof) sends the message that they are not taking student safety seriously.I’ve lost all trust in the leadership at Tierra Bonita Elementary. If you're a parent considering this school, I strongly urge you to ask tough questions about their safety procedures and how they handle bullying or violence on campus. Because right now, they’re not handling it at all.
