Brentwood is such a welcoming place to be- from the moment students arrive on campus until they leave. Each child is seen and valued and they have so many wonderful opportunities. The academic growth is tremendous and students are very aware of the expectations and live up to them or have consequences.

I taught here for a year and this school is a mess. The only students who are getting anything good out of this school are the ones in IB and their experience is totally different than that of the other students. The ESL and SPED programs are not bad, but not great either because of a lack of funding and a lack of people caring about these programs. This is not to say that no one cares, but not enough people do.

I would give them a 5 stars, but there were a few hiccups along the way. The staff members I dealt with were great and very informative when it came my questions. There was lack of communication that had me concerned, but was resolved as soon as I pointed it out. No matter where you go, there will always be some form of bullying or discrimination to which I made the staff aware that I as a parent would not tolerate whether it was someone bullying my child (which happened for a trimester) or my child doing the bullying.Their philosophy is great, but there needs to be more communication between school and parents. Parents need to try to be involved both at home and at school to make the school's philosophy work. Both of my children will be attending this coming school and I will make sure I'm more involved.
