"There are at least 5 parks here in Battle Mountain Nevada. I live directly kitty corner from one. The parks department takes excellent care of all the parks. It is a relatively safe neighborhood 99% of the time. The other 1# is when the police are raiding the neighborhoods drug sellers that also live across from the park. The police regularly patrol the neighborhood and bust the drug house regularly also. Lander county is a rich county . I wish they would clean up the drug problems for good, install sidewalks and enforce a cleanliness standard for the yards! Half of Battle Mountain takes care of their properties and the other half do not!"

"The beauty of this town lies in its feeling of family & the surround-sound-sunsets. Your children will still be watched out for by your neighbors & the kids can still play outside. There are numerous community organizations that will welcome your participation. If a family has a tragedy the community is there to help pick up the peices."
