About this House

Hi there,
Really awesome studio available SEPTEMBER 1ST! $1450 per month which includes heat, but not other utilities. But first note - this is NOT Park Slope. It's Prospect Park South, Kensington, Ditmas Park area - different. Some realtors call it "Caton Park" whatever the heck that means. Check the map... If that's ok then read on...

It's a large 500 sq. ft. 2 with big bay windows facing the quiet street. It gets direct sunlight in the afternoon. The bathroom was renovated a couple years ago and we have good taste (really, we do!) The kitchen is huge for a studio. Lots of closet space. The studio is ideal for 1 person, it's not great for 2.

We're a block away from the historic neighborhood of Ditmas Park with its amazing Victorian mansions, around the corner from restaurants and cafes (Lark, Wheated, Hunger Pang, AM Thai and a himalayan salt shop to satisfy your salt needs.) We're a 10-minute walk from Cortelyou Rd where there are more cafes, restaurants and bars (Sycamore, Castello Plan, The Farm on Adderley, Mimi's Hummus, Purple Yam...etc etc), 3 health food stores, lots of grocery options, wine stores...all that. And a 10-minute walk going the other direction to Windsor Terrace where there's more (Brooklyn Commune, Brancaccio's) and a sad little bar where they still smoke - called Shenanigan's. Yes, Shenanigan's. We live in a limestone house on tree-lined block, right next to the Parade Grounds (part of Prospect Park.) It's quiet and strangely there is always parking on the street. We're between the Q/B train and the F/G, but each is about an 8-10 minute walk, or about a 2 minute bus ride which comes every 3-4 minutes. There is also an express bus nearby that takes you to Manhattan in 20 minutes during rush hours.

We live in the building with our 7 year old twin boys who are cute and will tell you about their superhero infatuations, sorry. We're artsy foody types who actually respond promptly if something needs fixing. Which of course it never will...because in this magical house, nothing ever breaks. Just kidding. No washer/dryer or dishwasher. 2 laundromats a block away.

Sorry...no pets. We have allergies. :(

Available SEPTEMBER 1st. 1st and last month + security deposit.

We host a now grand Halloween parade with kids and parents. from neighborhoods all over Brooklyn. But mainly in the heart of booming Brooklyn this is a neighborhood quiet night and day with huge elegant homes. 26 years - here our daughters grew up."
