Calaveras High is lowkey a mess. The school feels super outdated — like, they seriously need to upgrade everything from the classrooms to the sports fields. It’s kinda embarrassing how run down it is. You walk in and it’s like they just stopped trying.The academics? Meh. There’s a few AP classes, but overall it’s not really challenging. If you're trying to get prepared for college or anything after high school, don’t expect much. The curriculum feels like it’s stuck in 2010, and they don’t really offer any cool or unique electives that could actually help you stand out.The extracurriculars are kinda weak too. You got the basics like sports and clubs, but nothing that’s gonna make you hype. If you’re into something specific, good luck — there’s not a lot of options, and they’re not the best quality either. It’s like they’re just going through the motions instead of offering stuff that actually interests people.Overall, Calaveras High is kinda just there. It doesn’t push you to do better, and it definitely doesn’t have the resources or opportunities you need to succeed. If you’re looking to level up, this isn’t the place.

My son explained he is getting bullied & fights almost every day with an older kid. Where are the teachers? Why are grades & morality at this school so low while nobody regulates & actually ignores/accepts this behavior? My son won't even tell me who the kid is & begs me not to say anything when I ask him about scratches & bruises he has. This is ludicrous & the school needs more monitoring if it's this easy to overlook a student going thru this. Counselors are incompetent. Staff is careless. & who do kids have to confide in there if they can't even feel they have the resources to rely on for teachers to notice or care?

This school is the worst school I've ever attended. I'm a student now entering 8th grade and these are the bad things I have experienced:• Laced Brownies being given out by students• Half the kids vaping in bathrooms AND classrooms• Teachers that do absolutely NOTHING when a student is overly misbehaving• Staff taking no action when a student is bullied, harrassed, or struggling in any way.• Students CHARGING INTO THE STALLS WHEN PEOPLE ARE IN THEM and getting zero punishment• False rumors and discrimination due to people being overweight, lgbtq, or special needs.I beg of you, from a student with 2 years of experience at this school, DO. NOT. SEND. YOUR. KIDS. HERE.
