6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe were initially 100% committed to homeschooling. However, after a few very difficult months, we decided to stop by the school. They offered us an afterschool tour, answered our questions, addressed our fears, and allowed midterm enrollment. The teachers and administrators are absolutely fantastic, upbeat, kind, and happiest individuals. They are also remarkably mnemonic, knowing practically all the students' names. The best part is that our son absolutely loves school. He doesn't have a least favorite subject - he loves it all.Parent Review1mo ago - Sequim Middle School

"I've lived in Sequim for a total of 12 years. If I won the lottery and could live anywhere I'd choose Sequim. It's a cute town. On the whole people are educated, supportive, open minded and friendly. The surrounding area is gorgeous. Beautiful water, forests, mountains and great weather. I'll live here the rest of my life. "

"Wonderful small town where the people are genuinely good. Easy access to everything nature has to offer while still being close enough to the big city."
- Electricskies2001

"This area is a fairly quiet place to live. The area is far enough away from downtown to not be congested, but close enough to be convenient to all major shopping on Washington ST. There is a local neighborhood park nearby, and although Fifth Ave is used as a shortcut to Sequim AVE, it's manageable. Really, this area is okay for anyone, but they should be open minded for young families and/or families with young children as the area seems to have quite a few."

"This area offers the best of the outdoors in a unique small town rural feel. Rain is illegal in the town and we have the best weather in our "blue hole." We are a coastal town in close proximity to mountains, lakes, rivers, etc. which offer multiple outdoor activities from hiking, fishing, boating to skiing in the winter at Hurricane Ridge. National, State, County & local parks offer day activities as well as camping opportunities. Whale watching, the ferry to Victoria, Canada, and SolDuc Hot Springs are close by for those who wish additional adventuring. We are in Twilight Country, and the city of Forks makes an interesting side trip. There is little crime, no gang activity, and plenty for all to see and explore. Schools are small and have excellent programs for students. There is no shopping mall nearby, but we are the home to such stores as Ross, Walmart, Home Depot, Petco and other large community shopping opportunities, as well as small local shops. There are multiple churches, a Senior Center, John Wayne Marina, the Boys & Girls Club, an active Theatre Arts Center, local organic farms and dairies, several wineries, lavender farms, galleries and a museum. Come and check us out!"

"The area has some through traffic due to a "short cut" for freeway access but isn't too much of an issue. The area is mostly residential but very close to shopping with a small park nearby. 12 Minute walk to Safeway shopping center. Even though it borders Highway 101, it isn't very loud."
