Description

We have an unfurnished 10x11 room with plenty of natural light, decent closet space, and carpeted flooring. The bathroom is shared with two other people. There is plenty of extra storage in the basement as well. This room will be available on December 1st (though it may be available sooner). First month's rent and deposit (equal to one month's rent) will be required after a $45 application fee and approval by the property management company. Utilities (electricity, gas, water, cable/wi-fi) are split amongst everyone and usually average $120/month. Household items like paper and cleaning products are typically purchased by one person and are split as well. The current lease runs through June 2015.For the right person we also have a larger room available in the basement. It has plenty of space, green tile flooring, and a large window. You would share the upstairs bathroom. This room is currently empty and could be available immediately. We aren't actually looking to fill this room, but, again, for the right person it could happen. An additional person would drop the rent to $490.00/person. About the home: The Rosemary Hill Neighborhood is conveniently located between downtown Silver Spring and Chevy Chase. It is only a five minute drive to downtown; or you can walk, (27 minutes), use the bike path (9 minutes), or one of the many bus routes nearby (J1, J2, J4, 1, 2, and 11). It is also super easy to jump on I-495. The house offers on and off street parking (uncovered). We are friends with our neighbors and the neighborhood is super friendly and safe. We are just a short walk from the Gwendolyn E. Coffield Center (tennis, basketball, baseball/soccer/football fields, etc.), the Rock Creek Gym, and Parkway Deli. It is a 5/2 brick home with a completed basement and a huge yard. Most of the home has either hardwood floors or linoleum, except two upstair rooms and the basement. Community areas include the bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, basement, and the screened-in back porch. We also have several garden plots for vegetables, fruit, and flowers. The house also comes with a sweet German Shepard Dog named Chloe, unfortunately no other animals are allowed per our lease. About us: Currently, four people (one female and three males) live in the house (one is leaving) ranging from 28-37 years old. We have a veterinary technician (also a vegan), a lab tech, a police officer, and a physical therapy tech in the house. We keep to ourselves but share a meal together at least once a month and a beer (or two) more often. We like to keep things friendly and often pair up for games, concerts, and other events based on interest. About you: We're looking for affable folks who appreciate a clean house, mutual respect, and value a stable living space. While we have two on-again, off-again smokers in the house (outdoors only), we are looking for a non-smoker. Must love dogs and at least be tolerant of kids (they are frequent-ish visitors). All house members are expected to contribute to keeping the home clean.Utilities and household supplies are split amongst roommates.

  • Trulia User
"It has good drainage. People are alright. It’s a good place to live, not too bad. Especially, where I live."
  • Trulia User
"Although I don’t depend on public information the commute is quite average. Whenever there is road work during rush hours there’s always a delay sometimes more than other especially on route 32 with sometimes major road work. Of late it has gotten much better because most of the work seems to be done. I must give the workers a big thank you for the exceptional work they have done even though the weather was so hot most of the time. Thank you from all the commuters of route 32. It is such a pleasure driving there now that it’s not that narrow and winding as before. Thank you workers for all your hard work. May God bless you and your family. "
  • Trulia User
"people sometimes let their dog off leash with no recall... and people don't pick up after their dogs"

"Two nearby Metro stations with parking lots, and bus lines all up and down Georgia Avenue. Very convenient"

"low crime, easy access to metro, local grocery stores, close to fire and police departments, near local parks and arboretum."
