"Very friendly to the sight and easy to drive through the neighborhood. Spacious roads and visually signs "
  • Alywatson20
"It’s a pretty neighborhood, but during the summer you have to be extremely careful of flea and tick yard infestations because a lot of people let they’re yards get overgrown and depending on where you are in the area some of the sidewalks are messed up badly or have completely been washed away due to flooding during bad weather and not being repaired"
  • Amy K.
"Be choosy on the street/block you live on as one street may be amazing while onr street over is not a good street to walk alone"
  • Jenn
"Highland feels like the center of the city. It feels close to everything. In a way, the neighborhood feels very communal, and I feel proud to live here. The homes are beautiful and the residents are often fun/eccentric/artsy. Unfortunately, there are a lot of slumlords who do not maintain their homes and do not care who they rent to. We hear gunshots nearly every weekend. I don’t feel safe walking around the neighborhood at any time of day. "
  • Jennifer H.
"I’m no more than a 10 minute drive to anything I need daily. The neighborhood is walkable with stores within an easy walk. "
  • Patricia F.
"watch your children the cars come down this street fast sometime. they have a lot of shooting around here not on this street but in the area. "
  • Christy
"This is where you'll find artists and young creatives who are interested in living in a diverse, walkable neighborhood with beautiful and unique homes."
  • hargrove68a
"Owned home for 7 years, very quiet & friendly neighborhood. Responsible pet owners. Good restaurants, Drugstore, Fabric Shop, Auto repair shops, 24 Hour Laundromat & public transportation available. "
  • hargrove68a
"Older established neighborhood, quiet tree lined streets close to public transportation, walking distance from shops; restaurants; laundry services & vet's offices. Easy access to hospitals, down town district & HWY's "
  • Sherry S. T.
"Obviuous sense of community, sidewalks, family friendly, beautiful 100 year old trees, well maintained public parks, located very close to downtown, river activities, SciPort, Gardens and much more. Active Highland/Fairfield restoration Association and a dedicated community drive to increase the number of homes restored and brought back to the atmosphere of a historic well loved neighborhood."
