"Its a quaint, old neighborhood of 2nd and 3rd generation Throggs Neckers. Still very clean, residential and an eventful strip. A little Urban in a residential area. . "
  • Jarlene C.
"Great commute to work! I feel safe here and I do feel having my kids in this neighbor! such a breath of fresh air and minutes away from the city! "
  • Leon S.
"Schools seem to be over crowded. Not too many places for children to play unless you drive to Pelham Bay Park."
  • Deandriasmall

"A lot of homeless people stay towards the middle of the train to be safe and not deal with smoking on the train but the train is always on time for the most part "
  • Leon S.
"We have all nationalities match with different beliefs which I believe gives off a friendly environment. No parking 😐"

"The fact that poop sometimes is not picked up from the floor. Other than that, everything is ok with pets in the neighborhood "

"I have lived her for 26 years and i love living here. Public transportation is plentiful. Theres good shopping all around. Its quiet. Its family friendly. "
  • Jasmine M.
"Depenends what part of Westchester you live in. People on this street don’t really get in the Holidays spirit. Which is a bit depressing. I am trying to move out. My family works hard. But because we don’t have good credit is really difficult to rent a decent place. Yet there’s people here that clearly don’t work at all. But have a place to live? ......"
  • Angelcsw
"There are a lot of multi cultural families in this area and it is kid friendly. There are parks in the area . There is no alternate side parking. "
  • Leon S.
"There are many different schools in the area, most of which are private. There are a few parks as well."
  • Leon S.
"Dog owners would love a dog park. There is no area for this. It pretty congested with 2 highways blocks from each other."
  • Inelda J.
"I always clean up after my dogs. However, there are people who don't and some of the homeowners in the neighborhood are very aggressive and blame my dogs for other people's dog mess. I always have poop bags with me and they are clearly visible on my dog's leash. "
  • Monirul HASAN
"I love this area bary nice and I’m living 2 years my favorite restaurant and 6 train and bx4 bus business area really l love this area"
  • Md H.
"I have been living here for more than two years. It's really nice. However, Some of the busy areas where most of the restaurants and groceries aren't always kept clean. This place doesn't feel private, you feel more connected to the neighbors because some of them are a bit noisy(I like quiet places so maybe it's just my issue). Parking can be an issue if you don't get a garage. You are safe to walk alone at night from 6 to 12 but after that, some areas can be a little unsafe(I experienced safety issue once when I was walking after like 12 o'clock but thankfully I was with my elder brother and someone else so nothing too dramatic happened)."
  • Sunit K. N.
"This neighborhood is middle class. So far this vicinity getting better than used to be. There’re two elementary schools, two middle schools and one public high school. Besides this, there is also private high school."
  • Carlos A.
"Commercial but also residential. Quiet and eventful a few times a year. Mall and beach not too far but far enough to keep the residential area quiet and free of traffic. "
  • Sunit K. N.
"Street fair, Halloween party, summer camp, community hang around and do on. Shopping center, restaurant and many small businesses."
  • JAY
"PARKCHESTER IS A GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD... RESIDENTS ARE NICE...GOOD RESTAURANTS AND STORES....CLOSE TO BUS AND TRAINS.... "
  • Joannanyc
"Diverse, peaceful, far calmer on the inner residential blocks than appears on commercial outer ones."
  • Samiha C.
"I live this neighborhood for 3 year, everyone friendly.kids can ply outside safely. I love this neighborhood."
  • Pereajennifer
"I’ve live in this neighborhood for 25 years and it’s a quite and safe neighborhood at all times. Parking is hard late at night no matter what day of the week. It seems somewhat dangerous near the deli’s open till late night."
  • Ateqmunir
"I love this area, also neighbor are good as well as Co operates, and this local neat and clean eventually all transportation facility’s very close "
