I am not sure why SHS is rated as a 5 out of 10. The school is the highest-achieving traditional school in the state. On the Idaho Standardized Achievement Test, it has the highest score in science, the second-highest in ELA, and the third-highest in math. The school offers a myriad of CTE and elective courses and is excellent in athletics. The teachers are excellent, and the school is amazing. 5 Stars!

I want to take a moment to share how truly wonderful Kootenai Elementary and its staff are. My children attended the school for two years while we lived in the area, and the support we received was incredible. The staff were always understanding and went above and beyond, especially when helping with behavior challenges.During some very difficult times for our family with health issues, the teachers stood by my children and stood by me as well. Their kindness, patience, and dedication made all the difference. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Kootenai Elementary. They genuinely care about the kids and are committed to doing their very best.If you’re considering schools, don’t hesitate to send your children to this one. Kootenai Elementary is a place where kids are supported, valued, and cared for!
