"City has wonderful farmers markets, citizens of all ages, friendly to senior citizens, and families like. Lots of nice cafƩs and excellent restaurants. Good schools."
  • Emily Bohannon
"My commute is fairly easily because it is opposite traffic living in SM and commuting out. It takes me 25 minutes to get to DTLA in the morning and 45 to get home."
  • Trulia User
"Close knit. Energetic with a lot of nightlife, great food and bars. You g and old mixed for a great blend."
  • Trulia User
"Don’t live here with children - terrible crime and homelessness. Very scary in Venice now a days, and getting worse every day."
  • K01gk01
"Great proximity to beach, shops and restaurants on Main Street and Rose, East of Lincoln, very walkable"
  • Cvolpp
"Ocean Park is a safe, friendly neighborhood close to some of Santa Monica’s most popular attractions: the beach, shops, restaurants, bars, City Hall, the 3rd Street Promenade, the Expo Light Rail station, the Pier, and the Sunday Farmers Market. The area is great for year around outdoor activities such as walking, jogging, biking, and all beach activities. "
  • Schulznep
"My hood has fairly good access to Public Transit and my daily commute to Venice is only 5mins by car!"
  • Ted B.
"Great as long as you work within 3 miles. The 10 Freeway can be brutal, so can the 405. Commuting to Hollywood sucks."
  • Corykrozatti
"My neighborhood has great access to freeways, PCH and the metro line. It’s central to Santa Monica and Venice. "
  • Anthony Lee Winn
"There are a lot of places to walk dogs. Plenty of parks and fresh ocean breezes from the beach. It is a very dog friendly neighborhood. "
  • Layla S.
"There are a lot of homeless people and wandering the streets. The school system is good, but private schools are much better. "
  • Jsimpson
"Mostly use Uber or Lyft. Getting across the 405 can be a drag unless out of rush hour. Local buses and electric scooters are handy."
  • Sallypulp
"Hotchkiss Park is a nice park. The grass up above the beach is nice. Lots of other dogs and dog parents around. "
  • Julie K.
"Westside bestside. Berlin at the beach! Best people watching, amazing food and great bars. Eclectic and beautiful "
  • Jsimpson
"My pals live here and it has a very relaxed vibe, Third street has great shops, coffee and restaurants and we’re 5 minutes from the beach."
  • Melissa C.
"Lived in this are for a year quite close to Beach friendly people can ride bicycle easy access to beautiful beaches and gorgeous sunsets "
  • Jenninerodriguez
"It is family-friendly, with lots of parks, bike baths and so close to Main Street shopping and restaurants and of course the beach!"
  • Jenninerodriguez
"It is very family friendly. It is a great mix between city and beach atmosphere. The community is clean and safe. "
  • Todd C.
"Nice quiet street. Most of the buildings have their own parking, so there is always street parking available for guests. Your friends and family will love to visit since it's a short walk to Main Street and the beaches! This a nice and easy place to live. Traffic can be pretty tough in LA, however this part of Santa Monica is easy to get on and off the 10 and PCH."
  • Sri K. Y. L. E.
"This is a gorgeous house in a great area. It is modern architectural yet warm - hard to capture that balance with modern. I love that it's tucked away on Grant. Very subtle. I can't say enough about Ocean Park Santa Monica - it's just a great place to live. I live in Venice but did live in OP for many years. As a local agent I sell many homes in this area. My only gripe with this particular street is parking. It's not great."
