Durand has teachers who are invested in their students. This is a great school for children!

I have always felt to be an active part of my children’s education. The teachers are all very approachable and helpful. Good support for speech development. My children transferred here with minimal effort!

I would not recommend sending your child here, I felt forgotten and left behind while attending durand school district and wish I could go back and tell my parents the treatment I faced while being there. I always wonder what life would have been like somewhere else where I didn’t feel so alone. The way they deal with students who have a hard time paying attention is complete separation from there peers, and excluding them from activities causing them to feel ashamed for the way they are, and less of a person. At least that applied in the elementary and jr high sections. They do not have enough counseling support for students without a voice. They also will place children in the hallways separating them from the class unsupervised for simply conversing with another student. They wont try to solve the reason you’re distracted but instead nurture the attentive students and shun the ones who need extra support. This school failed me as a student in my opinion just like many others I know, they will send you to behavior disorder schools if you are struggling instead of providing proper support. This concludes my review even though there is much more I could go on about my distaste for this facility.
