About this House
Welcome to your riverfront retreat on the Roaring Fork, less than 50 feet from the water and three blocks from charming Old Town Basalt. Sip coffee on the patio, grill at sunset, and fall asleep to the sound of the river. Inside, enjoy a cozy fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, queen bedroom, and comfortable pull outs. Fish, hike, bike, or ski by day, then explore the valley's festivals, concerts, food and wine events, and mountain towns before returning to your peaceful riverside escape.
This bright one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo sleeps a family of 4 or 2-3 unrelated people. Downstairs, the living room features a queen American Leather sleeper sofa the springless design that actually sleeps as well as a real bed alongside an electric fireplace and smart TV, opening onto the kitchen and dining area. The private balcony sits just steps above the river, perfect for morning coffee, evening wine, or simply watching the river go by anglers casting, birds along the bank, and wildlife passing through below. Upstairs, the bedroom loft has a queen bed, a second smart TV, a matching American Leather twin sleeper, and a full dresser and closet. A portable AC unit is available for warmer days.
Tastefully decorated with solid, comfortable furniture throughout, the condo offers ample storage, an in-unit washer/dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher everything you need for a longer stay. Though with downtown Basalt just steps away, you may find yourself eating out anyway. Fishing and ski touches add a warm, personal feel true to the mountains.
Good to Know:
Free parking and WiFi
AC unit cools the entire condo in the summer
RFTA buses and Basalt Connect van offer easy transport to skiing areas, shopping, and the entire Roaring Fork Valley - a car is not necessary
Location:
Three blocks from downtown Basalt's restaurants, shops, and summer concert series. The Rio Grande Trail runs right along the river for biking and walking, and a riverside park two blocks away offers summer swimming and winter cold plunges. The building sits right on Gold Medal fishing waters, with anglers wading the riffles below throughout the season but whether you're here to fish, float, bird-watch, or just relax above the water, the river is the main event.
The four Aspen Snowmass mountains are about 20 minutes away (or a short RFTA ride) close enough for ski season, X Games, and Aspen's food, wine, and music festivals, without the Aspen price tag. Summer brings the same mountains alive with an extensive hiking network. For a day trip, historic Marble and Redstone offer mining history, the Crystal River drive, and access to the iconic Crystal Mill.
Year-Round Activities:
World-class skiing in winter, fly fishing and festivals in summer, stunning foliage in fall, and quiet wildlife-watching getaways in spring. Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, and the Maroon Bells are all an easy drive away.
Book your stay and discover why Basalt is one of the Roaring Fork Valley's best-kept secrets minutes from Aspen, worlds away in charm and tranquility.
