We moved back to Mt. Vernon so our grandchildren could attend Mt. Vernon schools. They were great when we left several years ago and are still great. Our granddaughter is learning a lot and the teachers are doing a wonderful job.

"There is very little traffic. We’re right off of I-30 so it’s easy to commute East or west. In addition there are good north and south state highways."

"The heart of the town is the square which is active with both business and weekend events. It’s clean, attractive and well cared for. This is als the home of Bob Sandlin State Park, providing swimming, boating and fishing."

"Drive my car small town cute people are friendly school is great for my kids would recommend to live in this town, not alot of restaurants to choose from only a brookdhires to shop for groceries and they are expensive to shop there wish there was more places to go in this town"

"My commute to down town is very assesable and in in walking distance. The traffic here does not exist I am from Dallas and it takes me 35 mins less to go thru tje pickup line and get my children after school."

"Close to downtown square, as well as I-30 and HIghway 67. Grocery store is less than five minutes. Quiet roads with a small number of homes. Home acreage and wooded areas creates privacy and beauty. Wildlife are a frequent visitor. "
