    "Smith Valley is a quiet farm community with a population of less than 2000. It's about a half hour drive east to Gardnerville markets and 25 minutes west to Yerington. The SV school (K-12) is highly regarded and turns out fine young people. We have a local doctor. We also have a community library that offers many services including high speed internet. Reno is less than two hours away. The Bay area 4 or 5 hours. And LA about 7 hours driving. The mountains make for spectacular scenery and we get four true seasons each year."
