"It’s a good area for dogs. People are generally good about maintaining the areas, mowing etc. In my years there, it was good for people with pets. You wouldn’t see strays walking around, nothing like that."
  • Trulia User
"This neighborhood has solid access to public transit along Michigan Avenue, and you can get to downtown Detroit or the airport in about 25 minutes on SMART's FAST bus."
  • Trulia User
"safer than expected. old well built homes. easy access to downtown and the suburbs. it's much more diverse than it used to be. "
  • Margaret R.
"It is a neighborhood with diversity among its residents (racial, age, ethnicity, religion) and in its architecture. Very walkable and friendly."
  • Rachw88

  • Michelangelo M.
"I love this area. It’s a great place to raise children. I have lived here for 2 years in my own home, but my family has always lived here. I spent a lot of my childhood in the area. Neighbors are all friendly. "
  • Dao313

"I grew up down the street and would give anything to come back. I have many friends in the area that say it hasn't changed much. The Elmtry school is 1/2 a black away! Shopping and resturants are within walking distance. Lovely area. "
  • kechance
"Wow - When I've gone to West Dearborn, I have always been incredibly impressed. Friendly people in the neighborhoods, a multi-faceted, top-notch restaurant scene, great community activities in music and stage theater, great community events such as Dearborn Homecoming, and pride in the neighborhoods, its schools and its connection to Ford Motor Company. You will hardly find a more charming or comfortable place to live. I would move there in a heartbeat, if offered a job there."
  • Steinhagen
"This area is a combination of family homes and rental homes, a good place for pet lovers. Summer-Stephens Park is well utilized by kids, teens, adults and retirees in the area, especially the city pool, the playground and the baseball diamond and basketball court. All races and ethnic groups are represented in this busy neighborhood. We have been here for 11 years and can't imagine living anywhere else."
