"Just 2 blocks away is the Virginia Zoo and Lafayette park. There is a very nice playground area between 26th and 27th street. We are just 5 minutes drive from MacArthur Mall and Regal Cinemas, waterside dining and events, ODU, Ted Constant Center, Norfolk Christian Schools and Norfolk Collegiate "
  • Megan C. H.
"I have never seen any events specifically in Park Place for the residents of Park Place. Ghent has a lot of events and happenings so I just go there. "
  • Danascottcanby
"Lots of leashed dogs, close to a big dog park with an adjacent modern playground. Also walking distance to some very scenic parks and neighborhoods. 1 very aggressive cat on 37th that goes after dogs."
  • Ebony S.
"I have been here 2 years its a great place but parking can be a bit of a headache if u dont have a driveway or designated parking lot ...annnd dont ignore the no parking signs because you will get a ticket. "
  • Margaret D. A.
"I have a driver and a car .I get to miy destination on time every time .I love park place FOREVER. I grew up in this neighborhood. "
  • Johnconkle7
"In my particular area, it’s very safe to raise a family. There are lots of kids and things to do. The sidewalks are clean and safe and there’s nearby parks. Neighbors are friendly and and helpful. Sometimes though, there are speeders going to fast, and we have had incidences where cars were broken into. Other than that, it’s very quiet, And I’m completely comfortable here."
  • Trulia User
"Nothing neighborhood is horrible I wouldn’t recommend anyone to move here things get stolen out your yard and porch my cars Been broken into my neighbors cars been broken into and cops do nothing lol "
  • Amy E.
"Close to great restaurants, bars, and shops. There’s a cool vibe here and the neighborhood is up and coming, but some parts feel unsafe and it doesn’t seem like many people take pride in keeping it clean "
  • Kathy H.
"there is a dog park right around the corner. lots of people walking dogs. a park for the people kids while the fur kids play."
  • Katie
"It is very close to bars, breweries, colleges. Most of the neighbors are very friendly and look out for one another."
  • Pinknpurty1
"It’s a lot of kids out here with nothing to do. The crime rate has also gone down within the last year."
  • Margaretworldstrong
"we all pick up behind our dogs there is no doggie park close by My dog love her freedom in the fenced backyard. "
  • Kristin K.
"A lot of people here have dogs, however they do not always clean up after them. Making it especially difficult to walk them when it is dark out for fear of stepping in something. "
