"Lots of families with kids playing outside. It’s a safe pretty area. I moved into this area for that reason. "
  • Kanita.rose
"It’s a very kid friendly neighborhood. There’s no such thing as a privacy fence. Those are frowned upon in this neighborhood. Neighbors are friendly and will wave or speak. Turning into more of a diverse neighborhood."
  • John, C.
"car dependent, no public transportation. not even uber. 1 uber car only and it is working outside the city. it is a beautiful quiet place to live though. "
  • Trulia User living in st joe
"No Public Transportation here. All car dependent. nice, clean, maintained, could use more sidewalks for sure. and bike lanes are definitely needed, more entertainment options than just the bars and the only bowling alley in there are needed. "
  • Kim.mclellan906

"St. Joseph is a very friendly neighborhood! This city has a great beach and plenty to do! Even the stores are close! You can take long walks with your dog. I feel very safe here and have never felt the need to worry about stuff being stolen or vandalized. "
  • Juliecbeam

  • Kim m.
"Lived in this neighborhood 30 years. Very friendly area. Homes are well built. Great place to raise family"
  • Katiecoral
"It’s super safe with great parks, but the nursery scene for small babies and toddlers is tough with too few spots."
  • Jordan c. d.
"Having farmers markets in the weekends has been fun. Also the events with music and food and drinks are also something to look forward to. "
  • Cindy J.
"Just moved here and am loving the quaint neighborhood and all the great things to do. The lake is close, farmers markets, wineries, antiques, This place has it all. Neighbors are friendly, shops are close. And the weather is amazing. You couldn’t ask for more!"
  • Amy d.
"There is a dog park in my neighborhood, adjacent to the kids park and skate park. There are also plenty of sidewalks to safely walk your dog."
  • Aluxton
"It is the best of all worlds. The traffic is comparatively light so it is easy to get around. I am close to major motorways with access to main city hubs, but at the same time I am within very close proximity of the beach, restaurants, shops and medical facilities. I can walk across the road to hairdressers, restaurants, and other service stores, and yet I can walk out in my back yard onto a large deck with a ravine. Everyone is friendly although gives you space and I feel very safe walking around. There is also an excellent school system around and one excellent University under 10 miles away. A great environment."
  • Cindy J.
"I have moved here for a long term contracting job. I love the quaint neighborhood I am renting in and that there are many dog lovers here. I can also walk to Lake Michigan and Silver Beach. Love it her3!"
