"Rural small town where people still smile and greet you while holding the door for you. No hustle and bustle of the big cities."
  • Josh Diaz
"Lived in the area for quite sometime now and looking for a new house in the area that allows pets of any kind "
  • Sydney S.
"Football games, 5k races, chicken barbecues, farm show/parade, marching band competitions, Memorial Day parade"
  • Carolynne K.
"Great area to own dogs because everyone is very friendly and kind and accepting of animals as long as you keep them under control "
  • Holly P.
"There aren’t any sidewalks but i do see people walking their dogs along the road often. It is a high traveled road but motorists are normally pretty aware of people walking. "
  • Jensen L.
"Great quiet area! Lots of local stores and good community close by to us here. Close to Lancaster and lots at park city area as well. "
  • Liz B.
"Lots of school activity-related community events such as band competitions, football games, and fundraisers. There are farm shows, parades, races, holiday events, and plenty of interesting programs sponsored by the local library."
  • Benderjspark
"I just moved here and just learning the ropes, but so far the people are incredibly nice and you get that small town feel but is still close-by to "urban" amenities. It's safe to walk (even at night), people look out for one another, great for kids or dogs. Most things are within walking or biking distance...the bus stops on my corner like clockwork throughout the day so public transport is easy enough access. The area is clean, but I like that it's not so "upscale" that people are constantly nagging or reporting small stuff (like too many bags of trash or grilling on the porch)...everybody just does their own thing, helps those that need, are friendly and approachable, and welcoming to a wayward stranger all the way from CO. Looking forward to getting to know the area much better :)"
  • Elizabeth G.
"its quiet. everyone keeps to themselves. just wish their were more local stores besides Turkey hill. clean enviroment.."
  • Cymbalism
"People are always walking their dogs and some houses let their dogs relax in the front yard on nice days"
  • Tabitha S.
"It is quiet, crime rate is very low, neighbors are friendly. My kids can walk/ride their bikes without too much fear. We as a community still believe it takes a village to raise a child. "
  • Jenna S.
"They'd love it. There is a lot of room for dogs to take walks and neighbors are friendly. I don't know what the community guidelines are but I feel the community is open to dog owners and dogs."
  • Tabitha S.
"It's a quiet area & beautiful place to raise kids in. The school district is amazing. The people here are friendly & the crime rate is very low. "
  • parnami
"We moved here from Philadelphia 5 years ago. What a difference nice and the best move we could have made. It’s quiet and we feel like we live with human beings again, not with the animals who comprise our old neighbors. People are great and everyone looks out for each other. Life is grand!"
  • Amber R.
"My park is mostly elderly people who are retired. I stay with my mom who's disabled with fibromyalgia and my disabled brother who's blind and hearing impaired. It's right off the highway so you can get anywhere within a decent amount of time. But forget public transportation unless you pay for an uber or taxi. I am currently looking for a more family oriented neighborhood that is within a single mother's budget and that's not easy to do. "
  • Kmangan
"Rental properties don’t seem dog friendly at all or charge a major premium for dogs. They also require breed test and max weight of 25 pounds "
  • Jake K.
"Like: Very accepting neighborhood for pets Dislike: There isn't any paths/parks or anything for pets, you'd have to walk them on the road."
  • Jake K.
"This is a quiet, rural area. The neighbors are friendly and it's very peaceful. We don't have much in the way of stores or entertainment, but it's a great place to take your dog for a walk or sit on the porch, watching the cars drive past."
  • Robert T.
"This area is well taken care of by the local authorities. I enjoy living here, the businesses and police, fire and borough council makes sure it stays that way."
  • Kimberlyheddinger
"nothing does, dont like it. the roads are to small. trying to move again. neighbors are horrible. this place sucks."
  • Serena00
"I used to live in this area and just love it!! If it wasn't for my job relocating me I would still be here. Friendly neighbors and love to be walking distance from Twin Kiss and The Cats Meow!! "
