About this House

Nestled along a picturesque street in the heart of Lansdowne, this 5-bedroom 4-bath Colonial has been remodeled with care, retaining the home's original charm and character. From the generous .56-acre corner lot that's uniquely zoned "residential with light commercial use" (formerly housing a doctor's office) to the 3,000+ sf of updated living space, this home is perfectly designed for style, comfort and functionality. Enter from the front porch into the inviting, light-filled foyer. Adjacent to the foyer is the family room where the beautifully crafted stone fireplace surrounded by elegant French doors frames the room and provides a seamless indoor/outdoor flow to the covered porch with classic stone pillars and modern horizontal railing. On the other side of the foyer is the dining room, the perfect setting for hosting large gatherings or intimate family meals. The space incorporates eye-catching, over-sized windows with an accent wall that tastefully separates the butler's pantry on the other side. The dining room flows effortlessly to the well-equipped kitchen that's been updated with rich cherry cabinetry, beautifully coordinating granite countertops, modern stainless-steel appliances, multi-level island and an adjoining laundry area. Upstairs are three well-proportioned bedrooms including a luxurious primary suite with custom accent wall, oversized bow windows and a stylish barn door. The spa-like ensuite bathroom includes a striking double vanity, soaking tub, frameless glass enclosed shower and "massive" walk-in closet with make-up area. Two additional generously sized bedrooms are located on the third floor, one of which is being used as a home office. Each of the upper levels includes a hall bath, both thoughtfully updated to balance style and functionality. Downstairs, the partially finished walk-up basement incorporates a second home office with a separate workout/recreation space, storage closet and dedicated dog bath for your furry family members! If that's not enough, step outside to your private backyard oasis. The multi-tiered deck is great for entertaining, barbecuing, relaxing under the stars or simply enjoying a cup of coffee! The deck is flanked by generous outdoor space that could readily be converted into a play area, garden or future expansion -- the possibilities are endless! There's a detached garage, an ideal flex space for a workshop or studio, and an extended driveway providing more than ample off-street parking for family and friends. This property is a rare find. Whether you're looking to start a home business or seeking a space that gives you room to spread out, (either inside or out), you owe it to yourself to schedule a showing. Convenient to shops, restaurants, major highways, Philadelphia airport and more.

"Good neighborhood to live in. A lot of diversity. Clean and quiet. The worst part is the school district. Teachers are pretty good but overall the school district is not good."

"Even though it’s quiet, always be mindful of your children and other people around the area. Lots of tiny parks too!"

"I lived in Lansdowne for most of my life. My grand pop bought my house brand new so over the years there has been many changes (80+years). The taxes are awful and the school district isn’t what it use to be. There are many Victorian homes that are beautiful. Lansdowne is a pretty town but I honestly feel uncomfortable to walk outside in the dark. "
  • Shirelle A.
"It’s horrible this area has really went down over the years and so did the school district. I have lived in Upper Darby for 9yrs it’s almost as bad as philly the kids are horrible and so are most parents I rather relocate then to deal with how ratchet Upper Darby has become it’s sad because it was once a beautiful place when I was a kid but it’s nasty and disgusting now "
  • Shirelle A.
"I don’t catch public transportation I drive I personally don’t like the transportation system, however it is accessible by public transportation "

"It’s clean, quiet and generally nice if you enjoy quiet areas not full of the normal city activity. "
  • William L.
"Even though I don’t take the train anymore, the Lansdowne train station is a little more than a mile from me. I would hop on the Media/Elwyn line and could be downtown in 15 min."
