"Wonderful, friendly neighbors, safe neighborhood, most people take great pride in their homes. Lot’s of kids, low crime."
  • Unspecified
"Rarely see anyone walking their pet or just walking for that matter. There are few stores nearby. There are few parks nearby."
  • Dana M.
"Festivals, especially the halloween/fall festival. The main street is shut down and turns into a market for small business owners and little shops, with festive activities."
  • Meladie D.
"My neighborhood is greatly stereotyped. And it’s really a wonderful blue collar neighborhood that should be given a chance. "
  • Shannon
"Lived here for five years. Hate my neighbors, they’re all obnoxious and loud. People speed around my neighborhood and regularly hit animals. Don’t recommend. "
  • Rashid R.
"its a great community, working class mostly blue collar. people maintain their house .everything is convenient, shopping for food, clothing or other items is close and very easy. plenty of fast food around. "
  • Meladie D.
"I live in the neighborhood for 4 years. And my son has many friends on the block he plays with. All the kids play running outside up and down the block. "
  • Ricardo P.
"As long as the train is on schedule then the traffic is not bad until summer time if you live south of the tracks. "
  • Famatodad
"lived here 30 years and watched it go down hill. welfare homes everywhere. Now you need to lock your doors, and everyone has security cameras. Garage broken into 3 times in 2 years. Car broken into a dozen times....cops do nothing."
  • Famatodad
"Community has gone down hill over the years. After 34 years I am moving to Georgia. Tired of my car and home being robbed in what is considered a good neighborhood. "
  • Famatodad
"I have lived in this area most of my life 30 years. But it has gone down hill. The schools were some of the best now not to good. MS 13 killings every other day. Our local news is very controlling on what news we hear. My taxes on my home in manor park are over $13,000...for what potholes every 2 feet and drug/ gang problems. If you know my area you would know its the better place to live in this area....it only gets worse. Everyone is leaving Long Island"
  • Itsrandyacum
"It’s great. The Eastport south manor school district is top notch. It’s quiet. Very little traffic. Close to the Hampton’s. "
  • Czrosado57
"Ive lived in the area since 1983 and I have raised all my children here. the neighbors are friendly and are always there for you"
  • Catherine V.
"For the most part I live around hard working nice people there will always be something going on but that's in any neighborhood you go"
  • Valerie S.
"My neighbors are awesome. We watch each other’s homes and frequently talk outside. I feel safe and comfortable here. "
