The staff at LCHS & counselors have failed to help dozens of suffering students! Some popular students are adept at hiding bad attitudes. Place a box for STUDENTS to write letters, signed or unsigned naming all issues, depression, personal, home or at school, including bullies! These 4 years in your care are impressionable sensitive demanding years and students NEED & DESERVE school personnel to put forth efforts to discover & MEET their needs. Students dealing with unacceptable attitudes suffer emotional harm as they are unable to stop bulling behavior. Staff CAN Increase CHRISTIAN attitudes in morning prayer. POST the Golden Rule in multiple areas. Become PRO-ACTIVE. Counselors are failing to EARN their salary. It’s not a social butterfly position, Get in the trenches, look for and find those 8-10 troubled at risk students to offer your services in private every day! I was nervous coming from a school in CO where standards were high to the foothills of Appalachia however I have been pleasantly surprised. Teachers are genuine and helpful. 2 of my kids are in advanced classes which helps. Plenty of opportunities to get involved with thier learning.
