6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have been in Davison schools since 2020 when we moved back to Michigan. My children struggle with ADHD and Anxiety and have an IEP with the school due to this. After speaking with my child's teacher in regards to them struggling they helped me step by step how to get the IEP testing started to make sure my kids got the help they needed. They allow them to take a break for a moment and move around as it helps them. I absolutely love the Teachers and staff there and so do my children. If I ever had an issue with one of my kids being bullied, all it took was one phone call and I was in a meeting with my child and the staff discussing it and never had an issue since. They go above and beyond to help our family and my kids with what ever they need. My kids HATED school. They now love going and have such a great bond with their teachers. My oldest who was in Hill last year still has contact with her teacher Via email and everyday I pick them up they are excited to share what they learned that day, and rave about their teachers. Since being in Davison schools their testing scores have gone up. We have moved out of the Davison school district, and I would still rather jump from all the loops for school of choice, and be parent pick up/ drop off then to take my kids out of the school district.Parent Review3y ago1 Reviews - Davison High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBullying is out of control and they do nothing. They may say they support Anti Bullying, but I sincerely doubt that. I was accused of having 'Hitlist' by some kid who has a history of being a bad kid. Once they found out she lied, they did nothing to her. They didn't suspend her, detention, nothing. They never apologized to me, or my parents. When my grandmother asked to speak to them, they said it's not protocol to talk to grandparents. After my grandmother yelled at them they said they'd have the principal talk with her. He never did since it's either the end of the school year, or just another angry parent.Lunches also are bad. Group A gets fresh food. group B gets semi fresh food. group C gets whatever is left. I was in group C and occasionally was able to only get a single apple and milk. You can't choose what group you're in.My homeroom teacher didn't do anything about bullying but my switch teacher did. She was a great teacher.I'm homeschooling now, and it's a lot better for me.I did however have some good experiences here, more times than not. However, I think the bad times outweigh the good ones...I put a review on Google for this going into detail on why you shouldn't take your kid here, and it's been removed. I won't be surprised if this one is taken down as well.Other Review1y ago3 Reviews - Hill Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe decided to enter the district through school of choice when my oldest entered kindergarten. We had heard wonderful things about Hill School specifically. We have had wonderful experiences year after year with teachers. When asked who my 4th grader hoped to have as their teacher they replied "there are no bad choices!" We have been thrilled with the communication we receive from the teachers whenever an educational concern may arise. The principal knows the students by name and welcomes them each morning. We love the "Little School with Big Heart"Parent Review1y ago4 Reviews - Thomson Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is honestly one of the worst schools I ever had my daughter in. They are so neglectful. After speaking to the superintendent and principal nothing was done. My daughter has come home several times with marks on her. For instance, she came home with a 2-in scrape across the front of her neck and I was never called. Second time her dress had ripped from top to bottom revealing her underwear and her entire back and never received a phone call AGAIN. I'm 5 minutes away and a stay-at-home mom. I could have brought her up clothes brought her home or they could have gotten the clothes out of her backpack for a change! I end up filing a police report and filed a report with the state of Michigan board of education! I would not recommend sending your children here!!!Parent Review2y ago4 Reviews - Central Elementary School

"No idea. It’s a standard neighborhood. Though the yards are quite small on my street. The mail carriers are really nice."

"lapeer looks nice on the outside but it has darkness on the inside. there are very few activities that cater to the people of the town. those activities get cut in half in the winter. drugs run rampant in the city making it very easy to get in the hands of children. the high schools have history of drug overdoses. The school system is flawed and can't support the staff or properly educate the children within the district either."

"there is a limited amount of activities in lapeer. you can go bowling, to the movies or to the bar. lapeer days is the biggest festival of the year and it is a fairway with lots of drinking. "

"Very personal but I’m a friendly person so I get to know those around me. I live in a close community so everything is accessible. But I miss the country view hoping to soon move out to the country side once again. "

"We live on about 12 acres in the country. Our dogs LOVE it here 🙂 There are several homes in our "neighborhood" with acreage with plenty of room for dogs, horses, cows and other "pets" 😉 If living in a thriving community is your thing, Lapeer is s great place to be. With many homes available within walking distance of the many dog friendly parks, and an abundance of walking paths and sidewalks. If you prefer the country, or a lake home, Lapeer has that too, and as long as you're willing to leash your pups and pick up their "business", they'll be welcomed in Lapeer 😎"

"I’ve had my home for 20years and have never had any break-ins or vandalism in my neighborhood. It’s a half mile from city limits so taxes are lower. Close to major grocery stores , restaurants and places to shop."
