As a real estate guy I see lots of homes and every once in a while I see one that really surprises me. This home is one of those! From the front, the house looks like a classic transitional ranch or late era bungalow, yet opens into a great-room floor plan with modern kitchen, high ceilings, plus family & living rooms. The designer did a brilliant job keeping the historic elements in tact while bringing the home into the 21st century. The current owners added their own touches, especially with the addition of lush vegi gardens and tasteful landscaping. Lots of garnishments including: gas stove, dishwasher, granite counters, cherry cabinets, separate dining room, sitting room/den/office off the master bedroom, large walk-in , dual-zone AC, 2.5 baths. Not to mention all that is downtown.

Neighborhood Description

Great neighbors, who care about the neighborhood. Walking distance to great restaurants, yoga centers, coffee houses and public transportation on 7th Street. Home of the highly acclaimed Tuck Shop and Astor House on 16th St & Oak. Close to schools, hospitals and downtown Phoenix, but still peaceful. Our street is not a thoroughfare for traffic.

    "I lived in this house for 4 years and it was a dream. Loved everything about it. It’s a safe neighborhood with great people. The walls are so thick so it’s very quiet. I worried when I moved in that there would be homeless or people walking down the streets (I can from LA) and it never happened. I would sit on the front porch for hours with my dog and it was just the best. Whoever gets this home (and closet!!) will love it. "
