Mount Airy Elementary School (MAES) has done a remarkable job educating our children despite the challenges presented by the COVID pandemic. Mount Airy is unique in that the older Elementary School children (4th-5th grades) attend a separate school (MAES) from the younger students (Parr's Ridge). This healthy separation aids the development of both age groups and allows both schools to tailor activities appropriately. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended MAMS, moving up to grade 9 this year, and she had the best three years of her life there. These were her words. We never had a single issue with the principal, ap, teachers, or other students. The teachers were supportive. The school offered G/T and she was in all honors classes which allowed her to take Spanish and Algebra for high school credit. She loved her middle school experience and I am thankful for that.
