We are two families who live in a triplex in South Berkeley. Although all the houses are separate, we do have a shared yard and are friendly between us, and are looking for someone who would continue the friendly semi-communal vibes. There is currently an opening in one of the units of the triplex.

The unit is a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit in a duplex which is 780 square feet. It has been fully remodeled with an updated kitchen and appliances, including its own small washer-dryer. It includes a spot in a shared 3-car garage which can be for parking or storage.

The property is in South-Central Berkeley on Carleton Street, between Shattuck and Telegraph.

    "I lived in this neighborhood for 3 years. Since it's just south of the UC Berkeley campus, there is a lot of foot traffic and noise when school is in session. Mostly students live in this neighborhood but there are a ton of homeless people lying on the sidewalks and they can get pretty aggressive. Plenty of cheap restaurants catering to students as well."

This part of south Berkeley is bicycle friendly with great grocery stores (perhaps the best options in the State!) plus neighbors who walk and know each other. A very enjoyable & diverse neighborhood."
