About this House

2 Bedroom apartment at Grey Gables in Wallingford, Seattle, WA $1995.00

Grey Gables is a charming vintage 6-plex in the heart of Wallingford.
This rarely advertised 2-bedroom apartment was lovingly named The Treehouse by a long-term former tenant. This recently renovated apartment has it all. It is the entire top floor of the building, so you feel like you are living in the trees. There are two big bedrooms and a bonus room (for a study, office, playroom, or storage?). The newly renovated full-sized kitchen has a range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. There are large roomy closets that hold a ton of clothes. It has a washer/dryer in the apartment. The bright sunny bathroom, with all new fixtures, has a view of the Seattle skyline you can enjoy while taking your morning shower.
Outside, here is a large shared BBQ/ picnic area for you to lounge, enjoy the sun, or entertain friends. There is plenty of yard space for a container garden. A sturdy rack for bicycles is provided for your convenience.
Grey Gables, is a convenient block to the bus going to the UW or downtown Seattle, is 6 blocks to the Burke-Gilman Trail, 8 blocks to Gasworks Park and Lake Union. It is 5 blocks to Wallingford s colorful business district and a stone s throw to hip Fremont and the U-district. It is just across the street from the coolest coffee shop in Wallingford Irwin s. Because of its great location you don t need a car, but we offer off-street parking (for a little extra money).
Grey Gables tenants are people who enjoy vintage architecture, the convenience of upgraded amenities, a congenial neighborhood, and urban living - at a great price. Grey Gables pays for the water, sewer, and garbage bill. You pay your electricity (heat), internet, and cable. NO Satellite dish allowed.
The rent is $1995.00 a month rent. $1995.00 is the refundable security/damage deposit. The lease will start immediately and go until August 31, 2019. The lease will expire on that date, but can be extended for another 12 months. It will not revert to month to month. Our company uses LPS Screening for tenant applications. They charge $50 per applicant.
Dogs and cats are the only approved pets allowed (ok, a beta fish - but no aquariums). We don t charge extra rent or deposit for pets. Damage is damage, regardless of who does it. We want a responsible pet owner no barking dogs that annoy, no damaged carpets from dogs or cats digging, scratching, or clawing, and pick up your dog poop from the property and parking strips!

What we are looking for is: a tenant who pays their rent on time, every time. A tenant that understands what it means to be a responsible steward of their apartment. A tenant who respects Grey Gables and know they need to play nice with the other tenants. So, a good credit history, rental history, and employment history is a must. Grey Gables is a non-smoking building.

The apartment will be shown by appointment only. Please email a contact number if you would like to make an appointment. We only show apartments to people we have spoken to by phone this is for the personal security of our employees showing the apartment. Thank you for understanding. Please tell us about yourself and what you are needing. We may have something that suits you better

"I work in this neighborhood and there are a lot of shops and restaurants. Also a lot of street people and homeless and regular robberies at night. "
  • Ali P.
"This is a super dog friendly neighborhood and close to parks. People pick up after their dog and keep them on leashes "
  • Wnsheahan
"it has a very quiet safe feel to it and lots of schools. I think it is fairly overpriced which may be part of the reason, but as long as you aren't right on 45th it is very quiet and peaceful."
  • Shepavis
"It’s a centrally located neighborhood, laid back vibe and the new high school is opening within 2 years "
  • Shepavis
"Lived here for 6-7 years, enjoyable centrally located and great area restaurants, coffee shops, grocery choices, and independent businesses"
  • Andrea K.
"The shops and people. Love it and how close it is to the freeway. Great for pet owners as well! Feel totally safe too."
  • Hailey C.
"The neighbors are friendly, great place to walk your dog, lots of different birds and plant life to be seen "
  • Natkatiesam
"Every neighbor I know has at least one dog. There are a ton of dogs in this neighborhood. Plus it is walking distance to a great off leash dog park in woodland park."
  • Dale
"Walkability and access to local shops, good schools, relatively safe, easy access to freeway and not far from city center"
  • Ted S. A. K. P.
"Novice to the area still checking out the neighborhood, but I do love the shopping and restaurants in the area. "
  • Gwendemombynes
"Dog owners want to be able to exercise their dogs where they live, and not be required to travel miles to off leash dog parks. Seattle has restrictive dog laws that don’t represent how many dog owners there are in the city. We need SHARED parks, that make room for everyone, inc. dog owners. There are more dogs than children in Seattle right now!!"
  • Gwendemombynes
"It is an old part of Seattle. It was originally a blue collar neighborhood, but has gentrified over the years. It has many old craftsman style bungalows, along with many more modern structures. It is a comfortable community with lots of parks and lakes surrounding it."
  • Hfec278
"Walkable, friendly neighbors, convenient and central location. Lived in Wallingford/Green Lake area for nearly ten years. "
  • Mike l.
"Green Lake and Wallingford have a neighborhood feel but are only minutes from downtown. The lake itself is a gem.. such a fun place to run bike and play sports"
  • Cwiest2
"Local restaurants and shops. Chill hipster vibe. Right by the water (Lake Union). Overlooks Seattle skyline. Walking distance to multiple parks "
