Most of the reviews here are pretty old, so I thought I would add a new one.My child is now in 5th grade, gone to HBE since K. We've had pretty great teachers every year, except his 1st grade year and they did not renew the problem teacher's contract and she's been replaced by someone much better. Many of my kids teachers are lifers, folks who've been teaching the same grade at the same school for 10+ years, and you can tell they've got it down pat.It's the start of my kids 5th grade year, and his teachers are already obviously excellent. My child has excelled, improving year over year since he began at Bauer. He struggled initially in K, but Hosek got him on track and he's been on a continual path of improvement ever since. Now he's in GT programs, he's a voracious reader, and he's generally excelling academically. HBE has been good and it's a big part of why we've stuck around in our neighborhood so we can finish my son's career there.
