This is the best you can get and at a bargain rate for your tax dollars!!!Teacher Review7y ago15 Reviews - Myers Corners School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are some great teachers in this school, but an ineffective principal is what keeps this school from becoming great. This "leader" makes $150,000+ salary, and drives expensive cars, which shows how out of touch she is when almost half of the students in this building are considered "economically disadvantaged". Additionally, the principal treats certain teachers/staff with disdain and in an unprofessional manner; but will allow those she likes to get away with just about anything... these are not good characteristics of a strong leader. It's disgraceful and something needs to be done, but the district level administration won't do anything because they are just as corrupt. I would advise any family to stay far away from this school and Wappingers in general. They are behind the times, and will continue to be as long as these type of people remain in charge.Other Review3y ago2 Reviews - Van Wyck Junior High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLooking for a school where your kid can pick up a vape habit before algebra? Dreaming of a middle school experience packed with fights, drama, and a sneak peek at the juvenile justice system? Look no further! This place is less about education and more about survival. Not sure if the staff doesn’t care, doesn’t have the manpower, or just enjoys watching the chaos unfold like a reality TV show. Either way, accountability is nonexistent. To be fair, a few heroic teachers are out here trying to make a difference-”bless their souls ”but they’re drowning in a sea of distractions, where learning takes a backseat to lunchtime brawls, hallway soap operas, and the lack of administrative support.Sports? Oh, they have them. But don’t bother trying out unless you’ve got the right connections. Talent is optional; knowing the right people is essential. If you’re looking for a school that preps kids for success, keep looking. If you want a firsthand preview of why some people say the system is broken welcome to the show!Other Review1y ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near 22 Ninham Ave E.

"I have exactly a 55 minute commute to work in White Plains. I travel on the Taconic State Parkway in my own automobile for most of my commute. It is treacherous commuting in the inclement weather. I normally have to work from home in the inclement conditions."

"I commute to Westchester and it is extremely far. Love this area but the commute is not the best. CT is a better commute. Atleast there is no toll to go to Westchester."

"Many racists live here. If you are looking for diversity this would not be the town I would suggest. There is a lot of local government politic corruption and they are currently under investigation for discrimination. Good luck. "

"none we have never seen any events of any kind in this neighborhood at anytime of the year. although it would be nice. very quite a quiet place except for the 4 wheeling and fireworks that go off in the summer. most people up here are renters so there isnt much in the way of a close community. the only people that talk to one another are the parents of the local schools and that because of the events at the schools.
