"North area is quiet and welcoming. Very safe. Good area to raise kids in. I would recommend this area to people with children. "
  • Stephanie Q
"There are no community events. Nothing goes on in here but constant noise! Can’t wait to move out of here."
  • Leighann.gosney
"Affordable cost of living meets above average schools and good quality of life. I’ve lived here for 10 years and find it an excellent town to raise a family. "
  • TD
"There is a local park which is nice and maintained. Plenty of shops within a very short driving distance and restaurants. Nice school district of my kids can play outside safely"
  • Trulia User
"i like feeling fairly safe while walking my dog, though i do wish there were sidewalks. there are no sidewalks. "
  • Trulia User
"It is very quiet and safe. There are speed bumps along the main road throughout the neighborhood. Also very diverse. The people are friendly for the most part. I do wish we had side walks though. and i do wish there were more children to trick or treat during halloween. "
  • Trulia User
"Very violent community and is not pet friendly . No one owns a pet in the apartment complex so it would likely be an bad option for a pet owner ! "
  • Trulia User
"there are alot of families and kids. also a local park. it also has a nice shopping center. very friendly neighborhood"
  • Trulia User
"It’s very easy to get in and out of the neighborhood. White Oak rd can be busy closer to 13 but this far back is great. Very close to Route 1 and lots of back road to drive to clear your mind when needed. Also still close to shopping, main road and highways, and Dover AFB."
  • Kirsten L.
"Friendly with mixed races and people’s ages dog friendly. Food stores pharmacies and parks close "
  • Trulia User
"the high school is one of the best if not the best in the country it's the only high school that offers 13 diffrent pathways"
  • Melissa L.
"I walk my dogs at all times & see many other dog owners walking around too. there's also parks & places for the dogs to play all around town."
  • Daurillo122691
"It’s mostly a positive place for pets, but there are a few owners who struggle to keep their animals on leases and others that allow their pets to bark or be loud for long periods of time."
  • Samantha J.
"Dover is a city just like any other good and bad areas. Though small still homey feeling. I prefer more out west of Dover more of a rural feeling"
  • Shaylalmoses
"Not much space or area to walk a dog. Dogs must remain on a leash. Please pickup the dog waste and place a bag."
  • James F.
"I’m indifferent about Dover. I’m conflicted about how I feel about this city. The crime has increased just like most densely populated areas. There are positive aspects but they don’t outweigh the negative. "
  • Carolbaker57
"There are a lot of places to walk your dog and there are a lot of street lights if you want to walk your dog in the evening "
  • Carolbaker57
"There are a lot of good schools in Dover. There are also a lot of downtown activities held in the city center at the “green”. There isn’t a lot of crime in my neighborhood either. "
  • Dscottbouley
"Local network, downtown events, and school activities. Also, access to local museums, street fairs, and athletics both at high school and collegiate levels. "
  • Aliya C.
"There are many kids in the area and there is a park down the street. They’re also really friendly. The Reily Brown Elementary school is very close. I’ve been in this neighborhood since I was a small child and I always felt safe walking to the park with friends."
  • Carolbaker57
"Neighborhood watch meetings have a great turnout. The majority of the neighbors keeps their lawns looking great too. "
  • Nelsina1
"Love it, neighborhood is friendly and full of children. Many dog walkers and I hardly ever have a owner leave poop on my lawn. I haven’t witnessed crime. I do see people walking along the streets but I think it’s due to public transit being near by overall great place "
  • Carolbaker57
"It’s quiet here without a lot of disruptions. The high school is less than two miles from here. Good restaurants grocery stores and pharmacies. "
  • Christopher C.
"yes the dogs are welcom and thay love the nerborhood friendly and very quiet and lots of deck yard space and a very safe neighborhood "
  • J

  • Angela L.
"Depends on where you need to go, but overall it is a decent enough area. Less than two hour drive to Philadelphia and DC. Less than one hour to beaches. "
