As an educator, and grandfather of a K-4 student, I have observed all that is good about quality local education: dedicated administration, caring and competent teachers, and involved parents and extended family. Its just that homework is lacking and academic year is too short. European children attend school for up to two months longer, but at least Summer School is offered and recommended to all students, a great plus.

"It is about a mile from the city but feels like the country. The subdivision is small, about 10 houses and we share a pond."
