About this House

This distinctive home originally belonged to the developer of this subdivision. For his very own he selected this choice, south facing location situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the highly desired East Layton area near the top of Antelope Dr. with new, fast and easy access to Hwy 89 that will make your commute a breeze. This custom home's elegant brick arches adorn the front veranda giving character to the relaxing sitting porch. Once inside soaring vaults and reverse vault architecture lends beautiful detail to the high ceilings and the striking wall of windows ushers in a sea of light and panoramic mountain vistas! Within this open floor plan there is great flexibility with a formal living room, a formal and casual dining area, a family room, a den and 6 bedrooms. This home was recently updated in 2009 to include a newly finished basement, all new tile flooring and carpet, an updated kitchen with stainless appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplash, a new sink, disposal and faucet including new sink and dishwasher supply lines. Also added throughout the house were new outlets and switches, new lock sets and doorknobs, new sinks, countertops and toilets in the baths and new shut off and supply lines there too. Other updates and amenities include a newer ac unit and high efficiency furnace, a new roof in 2011, a wood burning fireplace with a stone sitting hearth, a bay window at the dining leading to the freshly painted covered deck, an atrium door leading from the family room out to the lower patio and mature shade trees, large bedrooms with box windows including fun built-in bench seats, a vaulted master suite with his and her closets, ceiling fans, wood railing, lots of can lights and even a laundry chute! This is a uniquely spacious home in a really great area all for $74 a square foot! This home is a great value!!!

"Neighbors and families are extremely supportive and kind to one another. This city and neighbor are amazing, and our family is so grateful to live here. Layton is very safe and it has a lot of good shops, restaurants, business, and churches. "
  • Hcconnolly18
"There are a lot of fenced yards, both front and back. Many of the homes are dog friendly with nearby dog parks. However, there are also a lot of owners that let their dogs run leash free on their walks that do not have good recall. There are also a lot of dogs that jump fences when they’re larger breeds and the fences are not high enough for them and can cause territorial issues. My smaller dog has been attacked several times in her own yard. "
  • Felicia V Ewing
"The neighborhood is very dog friendly with many trails throughout the homes. Most neighbors either walk, jog or walk their dogs daily."
  • Felicia V Ewing
"The area is very kid friendly. Mostly a family neighborhood.lots of trails to walk your dogs, green belts and parks."
  • Alaysha Aamodt
"Love Layton! Very clean and beautiful by the mountains! I live by sr93 and can see up to north salt lake from here and antelope island! "
  • Alaysha Aamodt
"They wouldn’t like the busy road or no parks, I prefer dog parks for my dogs and sadly there’s nothing like that here. "

  • Maddybutz
" A safe and nice place. It is half low income housing but it has always felt safe and not unsafe. I love living in this area. "
  • Escapethekait97
"Easy freeway access and decent commute right in the middle from the two main cities, doesn't take too long to get to either one. "
  • Mckinzie.tureson
"Lots of people own dogs here. Big parks, sidewalks, large yards, and multiple pet stores make this a good place for dogs. Large or small, they will be comfy here. "
  • Wendi W.
"Nothing at all makes my neighborhood unique. It is pretty normal. People usually keep to themselves. "
  • Wolfboy1245
"plenty of dogs. Pro and con either plenty of puppy friends or loud nights. It can go either way. My experience has been mostly good "
  • Heather H.

  • Jayci W.
"I haven’t lived here all that long but I haven’t really heard of many neighborhood special events. Hopefully I will have more information in the spring and summer, looking forward to it! "

"I live in this neighborhood for 12 years. But now it’s getting too congested with townhomes and condos."
  • Ocean.lw5
"people help one another. I had a huge blue spruce fall during a wind storm. The neighbors cleared it away with out being asked to do so. I have never had help like that before. "
  • Jason D
"I live within 5 miles of work, but the traffic going to my place of work can cause great delays. Traffic can get very congested around my place of work in the morning and again in the afternoon through early evening. "
  • Djdominguez7
"Folk are very friendly and have been around a long time everyone looks out for each other...hard to find a neighborhood like this now a days."
  • Nikki.gianni
"Love Layton bear everything, very convienient. Lose to both my sons HS and jhs and shopping. Restaurants"
  • Mojonica
"I would guess about 1/2 of the people here have dogs. They’re all very friendly. We have an HOA that requires they be on a leash and owners must clean up all dog poop. Everyone seems to follow the rules very well. I don’t personally have a dog but I don’t mind any of the dogs being outside. I can never hear dogs barking from inside my house, I can only hear a dog if I’m outside at the same time as the dog or have windows opened. "
  • Joythigpen
"That main street is a very busy road, no kids should be near it unsupervised. Layton is very clean town, with many parks and an aquarium in the mall. There are many choices for food and entertainment here. From Cherry Hills water park to Glitter Town Cinemas. "
  • Joythigpen
"music in the park. movies in the park lots of out door spaces. hiking biking trails snow skiing snow shoeing ice skating christmas lights "

"Nothing,it’s very dog friendly. Good sidewalks, other dog owners in the area, park just around the corner."
  • Keana M. T. C.
