6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was absolutely horrible for my daughter. My daughter came home miserable every single day the short time that she attended Cloverleaf. My daughter has tics that she cannot control. Some of those tics are squeaking and loud throat clearing. We told the teachers about this, but she continued to get in trouble for squeaking and being “distracting”. I know my daughter isn’t perfect and I understand that there were times when she would be disobedient, but she was literally written up for the squeaking that she cannot help and the assistant principal called me and told me that she was on her 3rd write up and that she would receive ISS if she got another one. News to me because we never even heard about the first write up! It’s funny how she was reprimanded for that, but when we reported her teacher for forcefully shoving her into her chair, with my daughter and my husband telling the assistant principal the EXACT same story at separate times, nothing happened to the teacher, but my daughter gets threatened with ISS and it was also explained to her what would happen if she had ISS, basically trying to scare her into submission. That does not sit well with me. We should have been notified after the first write up, but the number one thing is that she shouldn’t have been written up for squeaking that she can’t control! We also believe that she is on the autism spectrum, but of course, no one wants to take us seriously in the public school system, telling us that she is capable of functioning in a normal classroom setting, but then, I would hear from my daughter that the teacher isolated her to another classroom, telling the other teacher that he needed a break from my daughter RIGHT in front of her. Needless to say, we are homeschooling now, after that abuse of authority and she will NEVER return as long as I can help it. This school has terrible character and they will go to extremes to protect the integrity of their staff but not the integrity of their students. I’m sure if you have a neurotypical child, they will do fine here, but if you don’t, you probably want to consider other options.Parent Review2y ago - New Cass High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had no problem with the teachers or the educational opportunities available at this school. My issue is with the principal and it is such a major issue that I felt obliged to give this school only one star. He is an egotistical, male chauvinist - through and through - which seems to bode well for him in the "Boys Club" that is the Bartow County School System. However, it turns my stomach and does nothing for the success of the school. I am sure if he were to resign or have his contract terminated, things would improve dramatically. Sadly, I don't see that happening...Parent Review9y ago - Red Top Middle School
