"I always refer to Vandergrift as, "The last something before you get to nothing as you leave Pittsburgh." There are places to work, study, play, and gather in a short drive. There biggest downside is how public transportation does not come out this far. "
  • Galen M.
"We have various gatherings and events in Kennedy Park. it is a great way to bring the community together and meet new people."
  • Jcorvin35
"The roads are horrible, really young kids run around no one watching them, It's a Megan's law paradise, nothing in the town everything is in one of towns next to it,I feel sorry for people who live here and don't have a car cause you ain't getting a bus either. "
  • Mamamatthews2520
"I’ve only lived in this neighborhood for a couple of months but parking is absolutely TERRIBLE with the winery. If you are a resident we should not have to park blocks away due to winery. They should have their own parking for their customers only. "
  • Calley
"People, including myself, are always out and about with their dogs! Plenty of places to walk around and observe the surroundings."
  • Cassyoung25
"Lots of parks and activities in the summer for kids. Tons for them to do. I wouldn’t leave them run around by themselves though. "
  • Tina M. R.
"I have owned my home in this neighborhood for eleven years. My neighbors are friendly and I live in close proximity to restaurants, shops, the public library and a playground and schools. There are an abundance of community events to attend for children and adults."
  • Cassyoung25
"Lots of parks but do not leave your child unattended. Many activities in summer months and holidays for families. "
  • Speshalt4690
"it has slowly gotten worse so I'm moving as soon as I find a house elsewhere. the crime as well as the drugs have forced me to make my decision "
  • Dbrown
"This is a beautiful little village along historic route 66 with loads of history. Vandergrift's economy is on the rise and seeing an influx of potential home owners looking for a great deal. This town does have some crime but is still very safe and has a large police force. "
