Cozy, tastefully furnished and turnkey 1 Bed/1 Bath cottage for rent in the Historic District of Mt Dora. Just 2.5 short walkable blocks from Donnelly Park and the heart of the quaint downtown area! An off-street parking space, private indoor washer/dryer set, and shared use of the main house pool are included with rental.

Rent is $1,500 with an additional $100 flat utility fee, for a TOTAL OF $1,600 MONTHLY. (Utilities included are wifi internet, electric, gas, water/sewer, lawn care, and routine pest control.) A $1,500 Security Deposit is due at lease signing. Tenant must earn 2x the rent, be in good credit standing, and have no prior eviction history. Tenant pays for credit check.

This adorable cottage is fully detached from the main house and has its own entrance, but shares the large yard, beautiful gardens, and pool terrace with the house. Tile flooring throughout the cottage.

Bedroom has a 2023 Queen size bed, 2 stacked dressers and an open closet for storage, bed linens, and a 2022 window AC unit at the head of the bed. Bathroom has a shower, vanity sink, bathroom linens, and cabinets for storage. Living room has a new smart TV with free basic channels and a DVD player.

Kitchen has a full-sized electric stove, refrigerator with freezer, and small built-in dishwasher. Also provided are a microwave, small drip coffee maker, and all the standard cookware and dinnerware you need to enjoy your own meals at the connected kitchen nook. The laundry area is attached to the kitchen, with a full-size stacked washer and dryer set from 2022.

From the kitchen nook, sliding glass doors open onto a little semi-private patio and garden with a bistro table/chair set and umbrella for your exclusive use. Just beyond your patio trellis is the pool terrace. There you have access to the full-size pool, which is shared only with the occupants/guests of the main house. The terrace is surrounded by a lovely garden and hedges which provide privacy and some shade.

This cottage is the perfect, cute little place to experience the Mount Dora, Florida lifestyle and everything our charming little town has to offer! We have fine dining ("1921" by celebrity Chef Norman Van Aken, The Goblin Market, Pisces Rising), brunch and lunch cafes (Mount Dora Bistro, Two Flights Up, Fiesta Grande), unique bars (The Frog & Monkey, The Magical Meat Boutique), countless boutique and antique shops, museums (Mt Dora Modernism Museum, Mt Dora History Museum in the old jailhouse), free-to-the-public pickleball courts, a yacht club, boat and golf cart tours, sea plane tours, 2 nearby golf clubs, beautiful parks, walking and bike trails, and so much more! There are also frequent festivals and other activities throughout the year.

Rental is offered as a 1-year standard lease. A 6-month lease may be considered.
