Description

Historic, luxury Craftsman cottage in one of Seattle's most walkable, quaint neighborhoods. Our 1922 unfurnished rental is perfect for a professional person or 2 who would like to be within walking distance of excellent restaurants, the arboretum and its walking trails, the Japanese Garden, and the lovely neighborhood of Madison Park. The house has 3 full bedrooms plus an office and a shop area/workroom. There is a deck out back and jasmine out front. The upstairs bath has Italian marble heated floors and a steam shower/room/hammam. Comes with very nice washer and dryer. Dual fuel convection oven and a chef's kitchen.

The house is recently remodeled and has a fenced yard with two vegetable beds and three fruit trees. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and the neighbors are lovely. Madison Valley is a quick ten minute drive to downtown Seattle, and just 5 minutes from the freeways. It's a lovely oasis of calm in between Capital Hill (5 mins) and Madison Park (5 mins). Seattle living at its absolute finest in an incredibly charming Craftsman bungalow cottage!

This is a *strictly* no smoking residence, indoors or out, no smoking of any kind.

A small dog may be approved upon interview. No cats (so sorry, I am allergic).

Tenant uses steam room at their own risk.

Tenant pays all utilities (water, gas, electric, trash, wifi, etc). Owner can maintain lawn mowing if desired. Tenant must rake leaves and shovel sidewalk (if we ever do get snow!), and water flowers if you want to plant them in the pots on the porch or in the flower boxes in the windows. The house looks like a proper cottage. :)

There is one off street parking space on the property; street parking is not a problem.

Alarm system and security cameras on site.

Washer dryer on site.

We are very happy to leave a couch if you need one, and workout equipment, if desired.

One year lease with a security deposit. Very willing to be flexible for the right tenant.

This is my beloved, restored, historic home (1922!).

"The Madision Valley area has continued to improve over the 10 years I've watched it and with recent new resturant additions, all kinds of parks, and being a mile from downtown, there a few places as desireable to be in my opinioon."
