6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy experience at chiddix was not very good teacher were not kind to me especially in 7th grade there was a lot of things that happened throughout my years at chiddix there was a lot of bullying and we would go on so many holds throughout the years teachers would get fired and the things that i hear about it now is not very good like 2 male teachers were touching girls inappropriately and the principal is leaving that just sounds so crazy to me.in my opinion no child should ever go through something like that especially since there just there to learn and those things make kids not want to go to school.also in my 7th grade year my lit and comp teacher would ask us about our feelings and tell us to write about our feelings to the whole class which i think 7th graders should not be doing that no child should have to write about there feelings to there lit and comp teacher.now my sister is in 7th grade and i everything that goes on and she never wants to go to school she begs my mom to stay home because she is scared to go to school because of everything that is going on.i hope no child has to go through what this years experience is and i hope that they figure things out and make sure all the children feel safe and make sure that the teachers are good teachers.Other Review1mo ago10 Reviews - Colene Hoose Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll 3 of my kids attended Colene Hoose, and we have had a great experience overall. As in most schools, some teachers are stronger than others, but we have been pleased as a whole. We love that the school is ethnically diverse and that Hoose is the district-wide school for kids with cognitive impairments, which I feel has given my children a higher degree of compassion and awareness for all people. Bullying does not seem to be tolerated. The chess program is excellent at Hoose as is the Young Authors program, which offers gifted kids an extra outlet/challenge. My kids were very well-prepared for junior high after attending Colene Hoose.Parent Review8y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 205 E Phoenix Ave #4.

"overall it's a great place to raise a family, but, just like anywhere, check the crime maps and make sure your kids know to stay away from certain parts of town. Downtown Bloomington is where the highest concentration of crime happens. Mostly the college kids are targeted, but just be a little more cautious around there."
