Pinecrest is staffed with incredibly competent, kind and knowledgeable teachers and staff. There are special education teachers assigned to each grade level along with instructional assistant to provide inclusion support to the students with special needs. The school communicates with parents regularly and administration is fair and kind. Both of my children have reading teachers trained in the science of reading through LETRS, the gold standard. Both of my children have teachers trained by AMSTI and implementing new math and reading curriculums. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The counselor works with the kids in the classroom, in groups as needed, and individually. My children feel loved and supported at Pinecrest. Please don’t make us leave!

I am a student at SHS and I am VERY proud. This school is my family. Everyone is treated by the teachers as if they are the teachers own children. My experience has been amazing. I am in the Eleventh grade and I have lived my high school years to the fullest thanks to Sylacauga High School. This is a good way to narrow it down as to how this school is... "We are family".
