"Lived here for over 5 years very quiet and friendly people around everyone knows everyone and keeps an eye out for each other. "
  • RL
"It's small and boring not much to do but no one bothers you easy to keep to yourself and stay out of trouble"
  • Norman B.
"Walnut Street is a single block long and is lined with a variety of homes. Neighbors include three lawyers, a high-school principal, other professionals, and a 1800s bed and breakfast. Large trees abound in this bucolic setting and owls can often be heard hooting to one another in the night. Just outside the historic district, the quaint shops of downtown and the Newberry Opera House are within easy walking distance. "
  • Ann
"Moved to Newberry 25 years ago, raised three kids here and LOVE IT!!! There is a reason it is known as "The City of Friendly Folk". So safe and clean. Streets are swept once a week, traffic is only a problem if you're going to the lake on the weekend, tons of hobbies and groups to explore, great country living with the city shopping just 30 minutes down the road. 2 hours to the mountains, two hours to the beach, moderate climate - who could ask for more!
