4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal runs this campus like a prison! The kids are only allowed to walk in one direction in the hallway, even if their next class is right across the hall, they have to walk an entire circle which causes them to be tardy quite often especially if they have to use the bathroom. There are restroom guards during lunch period and if too many kids are in the bathroom they are not allowed to go, which means now they have to go back to class and hope for their teachers Grace to allow him to use the restroom without marking them tardy. A basic human need is being denied. Lockers are working and existing but the kids aren’t allowed to use them ever since Covid happened, now their backpacks are stuffed to the rim with books and folders and weighing amounts that no kid should carry around all day. Kids are also not allowed to sit with their friends during lunch, seats are assigned. So the only time they are allowed to talk and socialize in their school day is now also being taken away. I don’t see how learning is encouraged in the school, or how learning and fun is being combined. White Oaks priority is not the kids, the priority is how to run an entire school with as little work and effort as possible. The convenience of the principal is the law. The said principal has a reputation of such behavior since she ran an elementary school the same exact way. The uproar of the parents finally became so big, the district moved her to white oak where her obsessive behavior continues. New Caney ISD continues to look away.Parent Review1y ago13 Reviews - Robert Crippen Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your child is sped with behavioral issues, PLEASE RUN. Six hours to register just to be pestered they STILL need documents. Three weeks to get a bus route. I have attendance harassing me because they mark him absence when he's not in regular classes. Provided a 40 page IEP that they clearly don't go over. No real program to help children with these needs. Also will make you feel like you're at fault. Worst experience I've ever had with a school and have left me feeling hopeless about my sons future.Parent Review9mo ago11 Reviews - Porter High School

"New Caney has its safe places and it’s not so safe places. With a new development it has increasingly become more of a place that is safer rather than it used to be. New Caney has many different activities to do, but I will say that their schools may not be the best"

"We've lived in this neighborhood for 7 yrs and we love it. This is not the neighborhood for those that like cookie cutter style subdivisions with houses so close you can practically touch the next house from your window. Every house is unique, ranging from over $600k to as low as $75k, each with its' own unique style, whether it is awkward looking to traditional to beachy to contemporary or modern. Every house has at a minimum an acre or more, it is quiet, peaceful, like a getaway, yet close enough to the highway so quick access to everywhere else. The neighbors are all very nice, friendly, and don't twice about offering assistance. Seeing families walking, running, biking, rollerblading, golf carting, and ATVing throughout the day because it is safe. Whether passing in a car or on foot, everybody waves at each other. We are all racially diverse, every race and ethnicity represented, yet we are all the same that we like our community to remain small, our township government to stay small, and freedom to do what we want with our properties, whether it is to junk it up or keep it beautifully tighty. We want our "

"This is the greatest area closest to Houston for work! Traffic flow is great, even with construction on the 59/69 and Grand Parkway 99. I wouldn't live anywhere else...and I was born & raised in Houston, Tx off of Ella Blvd. & 610. I have seen it all! This area is the place to be!"

"I have lived in this area for 30 years and it DEFINATELY is not a poor area. There are sections in New Caney that are, however the Woodway Forest sub division is a great place to live. I have NEVER had any issues in this area and have NEVER been flooded. Just take a drive around the area and see for your self. You people shouldn't talk about what you don't know about! GIVE ME A BREAK!"
