"Lakewood has always been on top for Education. Many Parks and activities for children. One bad thing is Drugs are rampant here and way to many bars. "
  • Brenda D.
"Neighborhood watch, art walks and other small events make this a friendly and safe place to live. It’s wonderful living on the lake!!"
  • Kim G.
"It’s difficult to find dog-friendly apartments for rent. There are less of them available in the Lakewood area. "
  • Chris H.
"All city parks allow leashed dogs. Lakewood has a dog park andpart of Edgewater has a dog friendly beach. Lakewood is a fairly good dog friendly city."
  • Rachael M.
"i don’t have any kids myself, but I’ve heard that Lakewood has a good school district. I walk around at night regularly by myself and feel mostly safe. I love living here in my apartment and am hoping to purchase a home here or nearby. I would suggest parents with smaller children not live off Clifton since it is so busy and hard to cross if you aren’t near a crosswalk. "
  • Alyssa P.
"Good food nice to walk. Good parks and schools. Nice commute to downtown or any west side neighborhood. "

  • Alyssaraetoday
"Love it here! The community, food, price, pet friendly... list goes on! Happy Lakewood resident! Parking is my only downside "
