The secluded home is located in the High Park Road Subdivision--about 15 minutes from the town of Cedaredge. High Road is a locked gate community consisting of approximately 27 home lots in the lower section and 20 or so cabin lots in the upper section--all ranging in size from 35 to 40 acres. The subdivision has very reasonable covenants and provides yearly road maintenance and snow removal to the lower lots. All lot owners enjoy the non-motorized access provided through the subdivision to BLM and the Grand Mesa National Forest. Mountain biking, hiking, ATV, SxS and motorcycle riding are very popular activities across the Western Slope of Colorado. There are numerous places to wet your line with over 300 lakes located on the Grand Mesa and many nice rivers in the local area. The Grand Mesa is home to the Grand Mesa National Forest and boasts over 500 square miles of mountain recreational opportunities. Camping, hunting, horseback riding are all right out the door of this mountain home. The property is located in GMU 411 with over-the-counter elk tags available. Snowmobiling and cross country skiing are also very popular activities on the Grand Mesa during the winter months with an extensive groomed trail system for both. Check out the groomed Nordic skiing areas which are maintained by the Grand Mesa Nordic Council.

 



 

If you haven't heard of Cedaredge, Colorado you probably aren't alone. Cedaredge, a small western town of approximately 2,000 area residents, is one of Western Colorado's best kept secrets! Cedaredge has a charming historic Main Street and town park which are the center of local activities and events throughout the year. Art walks, live music, parades and many community gatherings are commonplace. The town has several nice restaurants and great schools for grades K-12. There is a grocery store, hardware store with full lumber yard, medical offices and many small shops scattered through town. Cedaredge is also home to the Cedaredge Golf Club--an 18-hole public golf course offering reasonable greens fees and an amazing back nine with breathtaking views. Located about 1 hour from Grand Junction and 45 minutes from Montrose, both with regional airports, Cedaredge is positioned nicely for a commutable distance to either.

    "I live here. In a state that runs to browns and greys Cedaredge is green. Only thirteen miles from the forests on Grand Mesa and situated in an area dotted with orchards and pastures it is a peaceful town with a rural feel close to outdoor recreation but not far from larger cities. A river (Surface Creek), does run through it. Get as involved as you want to, there are a lot of options. Great climate, bad weather seems to above or below Cedaredge."

    "This is an extremely friendly neighborhood. We were welcomed with open arms and invited to many events. There's a lot to become involved with here which is surprising for such a small town. If you don't have enough to do, it's your own fault! The golf course is fantastic too. There isn't much in the way of shopping. Have to go 15 minutes to Delta or 30 minutes to Montrose for that but it's worth it to keep the small town feel. We've been here almost two months and absolutely love it."
