Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from November 09, 2023
This is not your run of the mill home with a view. 201 Trails End Lane is secluded, at the end of a private drive atop 2.5 park-like acres w/ perennial flowers, natural grasses, trees, water features, thoughtfully placed benches and a 16' wide gazebo designed for sipping lavender lemonade and 'taking in the view'. An in ground sprinkler system and Sr. irrigation shares make it easy to maintain for self proclaimed 'green thumbs' or aspiring ones. The dramatic view below the basalt includes the Naches River winding along and the lower Naches valley, all the way through the gap to Yakima. No matter the time of year, this is one of the best views you can buy! Yet this home isn't all about the view and the grounds - inside it's just as beautiful! Built in 1995 and updated throughout in the last 2 years and voted as the People's Choice Award in the Central Washington Homebuilder's Association Tour of Homes. One simple step at the entry and the rest is one level living. As you enter this home the office is just to your right with the open concept living space just beyond the entryway. The living room, kitchen and dining area feature engineered hard wood flooring; Starmark cabinets with soft-close drawers; new appliances including double ovens, and a giant island with quartz countertops and seating for 6. A linear fireplace with a cherry wood surround and arched French doors constructed of cherry wood on the bonus room are adjacent. Make it your craft/homeschool room or wine bar. This home has a large primary suite which includes a brand new updated bathroom, and two additional bedrooms, one of which is currently being used as a TV room. Features not obvious but worth noting include an Enviroshake roof, updated windows, outdoor electrical receptacles, a new well pump, 2 hot water tanks and 240 volt receptacle for RV hookup along with a 3 car garage. Space for building a shop would be on the east side of the lower driveway. Much more to see so book your appt today!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had a hard time at highland high school. I felt as if the staff was targeting me personally, and focused more on watching ever little thing I did instead of focusing on a quality education for me. In such a small school with so little class options, I found that I felt trapped and stuck in classes I didn't really want to take. Highland wasn't a pleasant experience for me, I didn't enjoy attending this school and when the option was available I transferred to a new school.Student Review10y ago - Highland Junior High School

What Locals Say about Yakima

"This area is peaceful and for the most part quiet besides the occasional alarm of the fire trucks that take off from the station in the area. Low crime rate out here in comparison with other areas of Yakima."

"Lots of dog walkers around the Barge-Chestnut area so it’s great for dog owners. Several homeowners even provide dog poop bags and bowls of water down by the road. "

"Properties are large for pets. No sidewalks. Wildlife can be an issue. The neighborhood dogs have owners with good fences and walk their pets on leashes."
- Bennettdana011

"There are no sidewalks to provide opportunities to say hello to your neighbors & while most homes are set back from the road, the road is busy. It is a beautiful area because of the views and gorgeous homes. People do help one another if the need is there. "

"I live in this neighborhood and despite the decent crime map, there is plenty of theft, vandalism and creeps walking around looking like they’re ready to cause trouble. Cute rentals and good pricing, just wish the city would take care of the crime and homeless population. "

"the county fair at the sundome. best thing honestly. only "events" that happen here are crime related. I hate this town. I'm too afraid to take a walk with my daughter. and the roads are terrible so we can't skate or bike either. stay safe in Yakistan."

"I live pretty far out on Ahtanum but it’s a beautiful place to live. Where I live there’s plenty of field and wildlife. It’s nice and quite but a little bit farther from town that I like. Luckily the school buses come out to where we live to pick up and drop off my nephew. I love how quiet it normally is out here and how you can sit outside and enjoy the peacefulness. "
