"Great place to raise kids , I’ve been here 12 years and I love it . It’s a very family oriented place to stay . "
  • Jenn V.
"Lots of local community flair. Events centered around the college are common, but they also have fairs and other events. "
  • Patty P.
"Always traffic. Always busy and congested at peak times Only on Main Street out of neighborhood. It’s a busy college town and a lot of popular neighborhoods on this side of town but u learn to give urself time to get places. It’s still better than being stuck in traffic jams on busy highways. I love my town and it’s a great place to raise children. Not to big and busy and not to little and boring. Has a lot of activities and opportunities for children and a lot of events regularly for adults. Something for everyone. "
  • Jenn V.
"Great public transport, but I drive to work. Traffic is minimal at best. You can get anywhere in the city in 10-15 minutes"
  • Kristykinz123
"Many people allow their dogs to be off leash despite them being aggressive. That being said, leash laws are required within city limits, but enforcement is very lax."
  • Ashley S.
"We have lived the neighborhood for 5 years. Everyone is very friendly and lots of children live in the neighborhood for my kids to play with! "
  • Patty P.
"Great place to live friendly neighborhood. Great opportunities for children of all ages with sports and recreation and the arts. University brings great sporting events and activities. "
  • Sabrina B.
"Cars in the neighborhoods drive fast, and no one really picks up after their pups either. Other than that I can’t think of anything!"
  • Lilly H.
"This is a college town and caters very specifically to those in college. I feel very safe and am surrounded by people my age but i don’t go anywhere after dark alone just for safety reasons. "
  • Shantayslee
"It’s just my neighborhood, peaceful, quite, and friendly. I really have no complaints it is what it is."
  • Lbchamp49
"My neighborhood has easy access to the highway. The road is currently a bit rough. 10 mins from town"
  • Kenlbr549
"Longmeadow is a great place to live and raise a family. Quiet and very safe. No parties, noise or crime."
  • Kenlbr549
"I've lived here for 37 years. Great neighborhood, quit, very safe. Hardly any crime at all, if ever. "
  • Jaclynj12
"It’s very convenient to local stores surrounding. It’s right off the main highway. And it’s easy to direct someone to the address. "
  • Katharinespann
"It’s only blocks to downtown, restaurants, shopping and to the MSU Campus. We’ve lived in this neighborhood for 6 years, although my husband has worked on the Campus for 24 years. "
  • Jerome N.
"This neighborhood is highly desirable because of its location, quiet streets, and friendly neighborhood environment. Single access points prevent flow-through traffic, and allow for quiet streets while remaining nearly in the center of the city. All around a great place to live!"
  • 1580hersey
"MSU makes this a great town lots of events, good new local hospital, airport about 20 minutes away with close cheap parking and very short check in times. Shopping could improve, but there are cities 2 hours or less away. People are friendly and helpful. Golf, boating, hiking, fishing and hunting all available."
