"Busy street, lots of cars and quite dangerous for dog walking without a leash. but friendly people!"
  • Goodgoldsby5
"This area is on the potential up and up. We are still cautionary while living here but our family has been part of this neighborhood for decades and I think it’s getting better and on its way up."
  • Hayley M
"There are lots of college students and families, nice neighborhood to raise a family and/or go to school."
  • Cmroth
"I loved in this neighborhood for about 10 years. When I first moved in, it was a very clean neighborhood. People seemed to be outside and children played in the parks and neighborhood yards. By the time I moved out, it became a neighborhood where you rarely seen anyone outside. The young kids were replaced by teenagers causing fights and seemingly getting into trouble as police presence was a daily occurrence. It's still an ok neighborhood, but just not as squeeky clean as it used to be."
  • Dean D. J.
"University Place is close to historic Havelock. There are numerous trails for running and walking dogs. There are also numerous shopping areas and a pool. "
  • Jon H.
"Wonderful community of supportive neighbors. The people are really what set this neighborhood apart! They are very kind, considerate, and warm."
  • Kimberly A. V. N.
"I live in this area. The homes are modest and kept up well. Yards are constantly being landscaped and are well taken care of. Many people walk with their children and pets. This is actually Bethany, not University Place. We are close to Havelock which has a wonderful history as does Uni Place and Bethany itself. There is a pool in the area, the Northeast YMCA and several fine churches. The neighborhood is relatively quite and has a mixture of families living here. I have lived here for 13 years and have been content. I also attended Northeast High School so I have been familiar with this area all of my life. One thing I really like about this area is that the lot sizes are large. We have a large deck, poured concrete patio and plenty of room for grass and a lot of flower beds."
