"Just visiting now, but lived here almost 30 years sometime ago. More of a tourist area than family neighborhood area."

  • Eugene O.
"Have visited and stayed here for vacation. Area is great, close to everything. Short drive to shops and resturants, and just a short walk to the beach from condo. No streets to cross. Would love to own this. "
  • Marianne H. K. H.
"Okaloosa Island is convenient to both Destin and Fort Walton Beach. It is like Destin without the stuffiness. People are friendly and laid back. There are no community fees yet the neighborhood takes good care of itself. I love being able to walk across the street to the beach. Most of our beach access also provide lifeguards. I love being able to see the intercoastal and ocean both from my balconies."

"I don't know the area around Gardner Drive but I know that it is no where near Okaloosa Island. Safety in one does not reflect on the other. The island is an extremely safe place. Wonderful for families and fun. Water sports abound. The beach is beautiful and inviting. Dolphins play right off the shore. Groceries are convenient and there is plenty of great dining close by. I would recommend the island to all my friends and family without hesitation!"
