Description

Rent this nearly-new (construction was completed March 2013) one bedroom duplex unit in Spokane, near SpokAnimals. All new appliances in the spring of 2013, including in-unit clothes washer, clothes dryer, over-range microwave, and dishwasher. It is less than a mile to all of the colleges (Gonzaga, Spokane Community College, Spokane University District). Bike across the footbridge to the Centennial Trail to get to Gonzaga or the Spokane University District. Beautiful hard wood floors. High 12-foot ceilings. Well lit and bright. The units have higher-end trim, not the standard apartment grade. Live like you are in a nice condo, not an apartment or run down house. Appliances include fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, clothes washer, and clothes dryer.

Unit is on the bus line. Your neighbor is a long-term homeowner. No yard to upkeep. Landlord pays water, sewer, garbage and internet. Tenant is responsible only for heat and light. Construction to current energy codes, and all-gas heating appliances in this well-insulated unit, means VERY LOW energy bills. And if the power goes out, the heating system still runs!

No pets of any size (if it breathes, is not human, and isn't a documented service animal, it is a pet). No smoking in the unit.
We are not approved for Section 8.
$30 application fee.

Income requirement is: verifiable $1,800 gross PER adult (if unmarried) or $1,800 combined income for a married couple. School financial aid/co-signors may be considered in meeting the income requirement.

See a video of the unit next door (this one is a bit different in layout as you can see in the photos, but trim, etc. are the same) at http

"it's a good community and has great people living around. There are some good looking houses around here but not a lot "
  • Trulia User
"Everybody is so nice and works as a community. it's always nice and silent. people are respectful and helpful."
  • Trulia User
"Affordable and close to downtown and GU campus. A working class neighborhood with lots of families. Lots of dogs and cats here. It's quiet most of the time."
  • Trulia User
"The commute to work is very short, less than 10 minutes to downtown. Traffic from here to downtown is usually minimal, even at the 5pm rush hour. The main bus lines run through the neighborhood on Napa and Mission. I would not recommend walking by yourself at night, but during the day it is generally safe to walk around. There are a few liquor stores and gas stations that are a short walk away. Nice bars and thrift stores on nearby Sprague. It has been gentrified over the past 5 years or so and has continued to improve. However, this means rent is increasing quickly..."
  • Trulia User
"it's not too bad at all. trains sometimes though. lots of traffic near the university and sometimes parties."
  • Saleh E.
"good park, close by store, gas station, clean and well maintained park. I highly recommend the park. "
  • Perribreese95
"I personally do not believe that children should not grow up here. Some of the children here are disrespectful. "
  • Perribreese95
"the schooling system here is not very good. some of the teachers care where others give up your children. "
  • Kurri M.
"there dogs walk around the neighborhood all the time there never in there yard or on a leash and are always chasing my kids and I when we walk out of house or car"
  • Taylor J. A.
"My neighborhood has a wide variety of commute options available. Close to schools, farmers market, and downtown Spokane. "
  • Gina f.
"Diversity: All kinds of people live in this neighborhood--young people, old people, students, and families. Location: Chief Garry Park is centrally located. Traveling around the city is very convenient."
