About this House

** Live on the east side with the BEST neighbors in Austin! ** This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home has an open floor plan and is full of natural light, great for plants! This property is a standalone home built on a split lot four years ago (Unit 1 and Unit 2 have the same mailing address - this house is the larger Unit 1). We've called this place home for two and a half years and were sad to have to relocate for work. Luckily for you, this place could be yours! During our short time here, we poured a lot of love into this place - switched out the counter tops, upgraded fixtures, built a front yard fence and landscaping, added a Yale keyless entry and Ring doorbell/floodlights, upgraded and winterized the tankless water heater, installed Google fiber, installed remote controlled shades in the master bedroom, and even upgraded the garage flooring and storage! The master bedroom and walk in closet are huge, and the master bathroom has soaking tub for two, perfect for relaxing after a long run around the lake which is just minutes away. Two additional bedrooms upstairs are joined by a jack and jill bathroom in the middle. We used one bedroom as an office, and the other as a guest bedroom. You can easily fit a queen size bed in both.

You will be walking distance to the best restaurants, bars and coffee shops the east side has to offer. Hop over to listen to live music at Long Play Lounge and have a bite to eat with some of the best crispy tacos at TexSueno, just a block away! You are also just blocks north of the lake with hike/bike trail access. Or if you prefer to stay at home, you can hang out in the side yard underneath a giant pecan tree we've lovingly named "Hank". Hank is 200+ years old so is protected by the city. He's more than 10 feet around, sporting a basketball hoop that a family nailed in decades ago that his since grown to be a part of the tree, and if you're lucky he will gift you with more pecans than you can eat.

Last but not least the neighbors are truly the best. If you want to live in a place where it feels like a neighborhood community, this is it. Some of our neighbors have been around for 50+ years, while others have just moved in the last 3-5 years. We have made meals for each other, leave cookies on each other's doorsteps, checked on each other's pipes during the winter freeze, dog sat pets while neighbors were on vacation, brought packages to each other's doors when there was a wrong delivery, and we even had Thanksgiving together one year! We are looking for renters who will add to this community, which is why we are not opting for using this property as a short-term rental. If this sounds like your vibe, please apply!

No furniture included. Renter pays for all utilities, internet, and yard maintenance. No short-term rentals. Pet friendly. Awesome applicants only.

  • Lindsey
"I’ve lived here for almost two years. For the most part people are chill. I enjoy the walk-ability to restaurants and coffee shops."
  • Jenny
"It’s a vibrant, diverse neighborhood right in the heart of the city. Lake trail access and restaurants galore!"
  • Catherine D.
"Many streets don’t have sidewalks. Sometimes dogs get out of peoples yards and roam around. The people going to the Japanese restaurant on 2nd take up all the parking on most nights. "
  • Bea O.
"The neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks on every block, so you'll have to figure out where to walk your dog. Proximity to the lake trail is a plus, as are the bag dispensers along the trail. The I-35 dog park is not too far away."
  • Bea O.
"It's a quiet lakeside community close to downtown."
  • Bea O.
"if you're going anywhere on I-35, the commute will always be a nightmare coming to the neighborhood."
  • Bea O.
"There aren't a lot of sidewalks, so you have to be strategic when walking in the neighborhood or else be okay with walking in the street."
  • Andrew T.
"Lived here for 16 years with 3 children. Great area for a family."
