Great group of teachers that work hard to make sure all students are learning to the best of their ability. Administration is in tune with the teachers and the students and are very supportive of their staff.

My name is Travis Motal and I am the principal of Taylor Middle School. Our vision is that all students will be successful. Our staff works hard to reach this vision daily. We have a great group of students that have so many wonderful attributes and we are very proud of all of their accomplishments now and the ones we know they will reach in the future. This was our first year to the area as we transferred here from another district in the Austin area and the difference was huge for us. Learning is definitely a priority but the students over all well being and values are also huge to the staff and admin. There is a sense of community and safety felt that I have never experienced before. I am glad to have transferred here. That being said it is a newer staff and direction coming from the district in general so hopefully to continue to see the up hill stride.

My daughter transferred from one of the bigger districts suburban districts near Austin for the 20-21 school year. I was very worried about how things would go as a new student in the middle of a pandemic along with beginning the year virtually. My worries were unfounded. My daughter has had 2 great teachers during this long school year. There were changes made to classes due to many virtual students returning in person. Both teachers have gone above and beyond to make sure that my daughter is thriving and learning. She looks forward (most days) to going to school. In February, the district hired a new superintendent, Dr. Padavil who is doing a great job of ensuring that all the schools are focused on students and teachers being able to teach. There is a new principal for the upcoming school year with new positive vibes going through the district. The district is also unique because it has an amazing Early Childhood school (PK3 - Kinder) for its littlest learners. I love the small town vibe and compassion, and we are looking forward to seeing what the upcoming school year will bring.

We are very happy with TH Johnson. My kids feel safe and are getting a good education while also building strong community bonds. The staff and teachers are involved and set positive examples for the students.
